NT Minerals Limited (ASX: NTM) has announced compelling assay results from its recent reconnaissance program at the Twin Peaks Project, located in the Murchison Province of Western Australia. The highlight is a malachite ironstone sample from the Ringing Bell Lode that returned an extraordinary 25.6% copper grade, underscoring the project's significant potential.
The December 2024 field program, although cut short by heavy rainfall, successfully sampled historical workings including the Main Shaft and Ringing Bell Lode. The Main Shaft mineralised trend, extending approximately 330 metres, yielded copper grades up to 24.6%, with silver and other base metals also elevated. These results represent the first comprehensive multi-element analysis of rock chip samples from the area, covering 48 elements via four-acid digest ICP-MS.
Multi-Element Pathfinders Signal Robust Mineralisation
Beyond copper, the assays revealed notable concentrations of silver (up to 113.44 g/t), bismuth, cobalt, molybdenum, tellurium, tungsten, and zinc. Such pathfinder elements are characteristic of Volcanogenic Hosted Massive Sulphide (VHMS) deposits, a style historically targeted in the region. The presence of these elements alongside high-grade copper strengthens the geological case for a substantial mineralised system.
Geophysical data, including a 1,200-metre-long elliptical gravity anomaly identified in a 2008 survey, suggests a potential intrusive feature at depth. This anomaly, coupled with structural trends observed at the Ringing Bell Lode and Main Shaft, provides promising targets for future exploration.
Strategic Acquisition and Next Steps
In a strategic move, NT Minerals has acquired a 50% interest in Deepsea Australia Pty Ltd, the registered owner of the Twin Peaks Project, enhancing its stake and control over this prospective asset. The company is now preparing Programs of Work (PoWs) for a targeted drilling campaign planned for 2025, aiming to build on the encouraging reconnaissance results.
Despite the setback from adverse weather conditions, NT Minerals remains optimistic. Managing Director Rodney Illingworth emphasized that these initial high-grade results provide a strong foundation for advancing the project and unlocking its value.
