Groundwater Wells Mark Progress at Lo Herma
GTi Energy Ltd (ASX: GTR) has reported significant progress at its flagship Lo Herma ISR Uranium Project in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin, completing two of three planned groundwater monitoring wells. The third well is currently being drilled, with completion expected soon, subject to weather conditions. These wells are critical for assessing the hydraulic properties of the aquifer hosting the uranium mineralisation, a key step in confirming the suitability of in-situ recovery (ISR) mining methods.
The groundwater monitoring program will underpin aquifer testing, which alongside upcoming metallurgical test results, will feed into the ongoing Lo Herma Scoping Study. Expansion Through Additional Claims
In November 2024, GTi secured staking rights for 23 additional claims covering 443 acres, extending the project area along promising mineralised trends. The recent finalisation of the last eight claims previously held under Notice of Intent to Lease (NOITL) means the entire claim package is now consolidated and incorporated into updated exploration targets. This expansion enhances the project’s resource potential and provides a broader base for exploration and development activities.
Performance Rights Vesting Reflects Milestone Achievements
Following a resource upgrade announced in December 2024, which increased the Lo Herma Mineral Resource Estimate to 8.57 million pounds of U3O8 at an average grade of 630 ppm, GTi’s board has confirmed that key performance milestones tied to Class C and D Performance Rights have been met. These milestones include drilling over 10,000 meters across projects, securing new mineral claims, and achieving resource thresholds in line with JORC 2012 standards.
As a result, 75% of Class C and 50% of Class D Performance Rights have vested, providing incentive alignment for management and shareholders as the company advances its uranium assets.
Broader Project Portfolio and Exploration Targets
While Lo Herma remains the cornerstone of GTi’s portfolio, the company also holds promising projects in Wyoming’s Great Divide Basin and Green Mountain area, as well as brownfields uranium and vanadium assets in Utah’s Henry Mountains. The combined Mineral Resources across Wyoming projects now total approximately 7.53 million pounds of contained U3O8, with exploration targets suggesting potential to significantly increase this base.
GTi’s extensive drilling history at Lo Herma, now encompassing 954 drill holes, supports a robust understanding of the deposit and exploration potential.
