Mount Berghaus Exploration Update

Mantle Minerals Limited (ASX: MTL) has provided a promising update on its Mount Berghaus exploration licence (E45/5899) located in the Mallina Basin, approximately 10 kilometres northeast of De Grey Mining’s (ASX: DEG) prolific Hemi gold deposit. The company’s recent preliminary geophysical review, conducted by Core Geophysics, builds on late 2024 reverse circulation (RC) drilling results that confirmed a broad halo of gold mineralisation hosted within Hemi-style igneous lithologies.

The review identified that higher-grade gold intersections appear to be associated with subtle magnetic features and northwest-trending structures that align with interpreted Mallina parallel northeast-southwest trending faults. These structural controls are critical as they may localise gold mineralisation, a hallmark of the region’s geology.

Gold Halos and Upcoming Gravity Survey

Two significant gold halos have been delineated towards the southern part of the tenement, where drilling intersected gold mineralisation between 40 to 80 metres depth. Notable intersections include 4 metres at 3.57 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 40 metres in drill hole MMAC0218 and 5 metres at 1.10 g/t gold from 40 metres in MMRC01. Another intersection of 32 metres at 0.16 g/t gold from 123 metres was also recorded in MMRC01.

To further refine these targets, Mantle has commissioned a high-resolution ground-borne gravity survey scheduled to commence this quarter. This survey aims to detect buried intrusive bodies and better define structural controls that could host higher-grade mineralisation. The gravity survey will focus on the southern drill line area containing the two gold halos, potentially unlocking new drill targets ahead of the next phase of exploration.
