Untested Structures at Yundamindra Signal High-Risk, High-Reward Gold Targets

Initial High-Grade Gold Discoveries

Arika Resources (ASX: ARI) has announced compelling initial results from its December 2024 rock chip sampling program at the Yundamindra Gold Project, located 65km southwest of Laverton in Western Australia’s prolific Eastern Goldfields. The standout highlight is a 19.3 g/t gold assay from a channel sample at the Queen of Sheba prospect, part of the newly defined Eastern Corridor. This discovery adds a fresh dimension to the project’s exploration narrative, reinforcing the potential for significant gold mineralisation in previously underexplored zones.

Other notable rock chip results include 12.81 g/t and 9.51 g/t gold samples, underscoring the presence of high-grade mineralisation along structural corridors that have not been subject to effective drilling before. These findings validate Arika’s systematic approach combining structural targeting with geophysical and geochemical assessments.

Expanding the Exploration Footprint

The Queen of Sheba prospect lies approximately 2km southeast of Pennyweight Point, where Arika’s 2024 reverse circulation drilling returned thick, high-grade gold intersections. Mapping confirms that the mineralised structure extends at least 400m along strike and remains open, suggesting further upside potential. Meanwhile, at the Banjo’s Camp prospect, fieldwork has identified extensive parallel quartz veins up to 10m wide stretching over 4.5km, with assays pending. This zone sits within the structurally complex southern ‘nose’ of the Yundamindra synformal fold closure, a geological setting known to host significant gold deposits.

Arika’s Managing Director Justin Barton emphasised the significance of these discoveries, stating that the identification of multiple mineralised structural orientations within the Eastern Corridor highlights the project’s growth potential. With less than 1% of the identified structures drill tested, the company is just beginning to unlock Yundamindra’s value.

Strategic Technical Approach and Next Steps

The rock chip sampling program was guided by a comprehensive geophysical data synthesis conducted by Core Geophysics, which integrated regional and prospect-scale datasets to reveal a structurally complex environment of intrusive volcanic and granitic interactions. These geological features are consistent with those hosting major regional gold deposits such as Sunrise Dam and Wallaby.

Arika is awaiting assay results from the remaining rock chip samples at Banjo’s Camp and from the recently completed ~5,000m RC drilling program at Pennyweight Point and Landed at Last prospects. These forthcoming results will be critical in refining exploration targets and advancing the project towards resource definition.

Historically, the Yundamindra area has seen limited modern exploration, and Arika’s work is opening new frontiers in a well-endowed gold province. The company’s methodical and data-driven exploration strategy, combined with encouraging early results, positions it well to deliver further discoveries and value for shareholders.
