Exploration Momentum Builds at Bellchambers

Venus Metals Corporation has officially kicked off field activities at its Bellchambers Gold Project in Western Australia, signaling a renewed push to unlock further value from this promising asset. The current phase involves detailed geological mapping and rock chip sampling, foundational steps ahead of a planned reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling program scheduled for March and April 2025.

The Bellchambers deposit, where Venus holds a 90% interest, currently boasts a JORC-compliant resource of approximately 722,000 tonnes at 1.31 grams per tonne gold, equating to around 30,500 ounces. This resource, while modest, is strategically located within the broader Sandstone gold district, about 70 kilometres northeast of the Youanmi Gold Project operated by Rox Resources, in which Venus is a significant shareholder.

Encouraging Nearby Targets and Historical Results

Adding to the project's upside potential is the Range View prospect, situated roughly one kilometre northeast along strike from Bellchambers. Historical drilling here has returned compelling intercepts, including an 11-metre interval grading 4.69 g/t gold and a standout 1-metre section at 38.92 g/t gold. These results underscore the structural complexity and mineralisation potential of the banded iron formation (BIF) host rocks, which are folded and sheared, creating multiple exploration targets at depth.

Venus’s ongoing mapping and sampling efforts aim to refine these targets and guide the upcoming drilling campaign, which could materially expand the known mineralisation footprint. The company is optimistic that successful drilling will not only add ounces but also upgrade portions of the resource from inferred to indicated or measured categories, enhancing project confidence.

Advancing Toward Development

In parallel with exploration, Venus has lodged a mining lease application covering Bellchambers and potential extensions, a clear signal of intent to progress toward development. This move aligns with a strategic framework that includes a potential mine gate sale agreement with Rox Resources, which could provide a processing pathway for Bellchambers ore, leveraging Rox’s Youanmi infrastructure.

The company’s cash position of approximately $13.4 million supports these activities, providing financial flexibility to execute the drilling program and subsequent studies, including metallurgical testing. These steps are critical to de-risking the project and positioning Bellchambers as a viable near-term gold producer.

Strategic Positioning in a Growing Gold District

Venus Metals’ portfolio, which spans multiple commodities including gold, copper, lithium, and vanadium, benefits from its focus on Western Australia’s prolific mineral belts. The Bellchambers project, with its proximity to the Youanmi Gold Project and historical high-grade production, represents a cornerstone asset with potential to deliver significant shareholder value if exploration success continues.

Investors will be watching closely as the March-April drilling results emerge, which could redefine the scale and quality of the Bellchambers resource and influence the company’s development trajectory.

Bottom Line?

Bellchambers is poised for a pivotal exploration phase that could reshape Venus Metals’ gold resource profile and development prospects.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will the upcoming drilling confirm extensions of high-grade mineralisation at Range View?
  • How quickly can Venus convert inferred resources to measured and indicated categories?
  • What are the terms and timing of the potential mine gate sale agreement with Rox Resources?
