Solstice Minerals Launches Major RC Drilling at Statesman Well and Bluetooth Gold Prospects

Mining By Maxwell Dee 3 min read

Solstice Minerals has initiated a significant Reverse Circulation drilling campaign targeting advanced gold prospects in Western Australia, aiming to expand on promising historical intercepts and recent exploration success.

  • Maiden 2,000m RC drilling program underway at Statesman Well targeting 1km strike of oxide gold mineralisation
  • Follow-up 1,000m infill RC drilling planned at Bluetooth with strong shallow gold intercepts over 800m strike
  • Historical intercepts at Statesman Well include 22m @ 1.14g/t Au and 10m @ 2.04g/t Au
  • Robust cash position of $13.6 million supports ongoing exploration and resource development
  • Additional projects include Nanadie Copper-Gold and greenfield gold-nickel tenements

Drilling Campaign Commences at Statesman Well

Solstice Minerals Limited has commenced its maiden Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Statesman Well Gold Prospect, part of its extensive Yarri Gold Project in Western Australia. This underexplored prospect hosts outcropping gold mineralisation and historical workings, with previous RC drilling revealing commercial-grade intercepts such as 22 metres at 1.14 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 10 metres at 2.04 g/t gold over a strike length exceeding 1 kilometre. The current campaign plans approximately 2,000 metres of drilling across around 20 holes, aiming to delineate and expand on these encouraging zones.

Bluetooth Prospect to Follow with Infill Drilling

Following completion at Statesman Well, the RC rig will mobilise to the Bluetooth Gold Prospect for approximately 1,000 metres of infill drilling. Bluetooth has already demonstrated significant potential through initial drilling that returned thick, shallow gold intercepts over an 800-metre strike length, including standout results like 29 metres at 1.58 g/t gold from 20 metres depth and 12 metres at 2.86 g/t gold. The prospect’s proximity to haul road infrastructure enhances its development appeal, positioning it as a compelling target for near-surface oxide gold mineralisation.

Strategic Location and Infrastructure Advantages

Both Statesman Well and Bluetooth lie within Solstice’s Yarri tenure, which covers a substantial 1,650 square kilometres in the Eastern Goldfields region. The area benefits from existing mining operations, haul roads, and processing facilities within 50 to 100 kilometres, providing logistical advantages that could accelerate project development. Notably, Statesman Well is situated within 20 kilometres of Northern Star’s Porphyry Mining Centre, underscoring the prospectivity of the regional gold corridor that extends through Edjudina Range and Bluetooth.

Robust Financial Position Supports Exploration Momentum

Solstice’s strong cash position of $13.6 million as of March 31, 2025, equips the company with the flexibility to advance its key gold prospects toward Mineral Resource delineation. The company is also awaiting assay results from recent aircore drilling at Edjudina Range, with plans to deploy the RC rig there subsequently. Beyond gold, Solstice is expanding its portfolio with the recent acquisition of the Nanadie Copper-Gold Project, which hosts a robust Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 40.4 million tonnes at 0.4% copper and 0.1 g/t gold, adding significant strategic copper exposure.

Outlook and Exploration Upside

Solstice’s ongoing drilling programs at Statesman Well and Bluetooth represent critical steps in unlocking the value of its Yarri Gold Project. The combination of historical intercepts, recent drilling success, and infrastructure advantages provides a strong foundation for potential resource upgrades. The company’s methodical approach to exploration, coupled with a diversified asset base including greenfield gold and nickel projects at Ringlock and Ponton, positions Solstice well to capitalise on Western Australia’s prolific mineral belts.

Bottom Line?

As assay results emerge, Solstice’s drilling campaign could redefine the scale and quality of its gold resources, setting the stage for value creation.

Questions in the middle?

  • What assay results will the current Statesman Well drilling program yield, and how might they impact resource estimates?
  • How will the infill drilling at Bluetooth refine the understanding of near-surface oxide gold mineralisation?
  • What are the timelines and strategic plans for advancing the Nanadie Copper-Gold Project alongside gold exploration?
