Albion Advances Yandal West Exploration with New Geophysical Insights

Albion Resources Limited has released promising results from its recent Dipole-Dipole Induced Polarisation (DDIP) survey at the Yandal West Gold Project, situated in Western Australia's prolific Northeastern Goldfields. The survey has delineated two standout, undrilled targets at Collavilla East and West, characterised by strong chargeability and resistivity anomalies that extend to depths of approximately 300 metres.

These geophysical signatures are particularly encouraging as they coincide with historical rock chip sampling that returned high-grade gold assays, including values as high as 23.3 grams per tonne. Such data provide a compelling case for the presence of significant gold mineralisation, bolstering confidence in the project's potential.

Geological Context and Historical Validation

The Collavilla East target lies some 300 to 400 metres east of previous workings and drilling at Bell Miner, with a strong chargeability anomaly increasing in thickness with depth. Historical exploration by Northpac in 1983 identified a gold-bearing quartz reef at surface, with assays up to 6 g/t Au, directly validating the geophysical target. Similarly, Collavilla West exhibits a broad chargeability anomaly starting around 100 metres depth, supported by elevated gold values from historical rock samples.

Additional targets at Barwidgee North and Ives South East have been identified with moderate to weak chargeability anomalies, suggesting further exploration upside. The Barwidgee North anomaly, located near a recent high-grade discovery hole, hints at structural complexities that could host significant mineralisation.

Next Steps: Soil Assays and Maiden Drilling Campaign

Albion is currently awaiting soil assay results that will be integrated into the broader evaluation of the Yandal West prospects. The company is progressing heritage and survey approvals, aiming to commence its maiden drilling campaign by mid-2025. This campaign will focus on testing the high-priority Collavilla targets and refining the understanding of the broader mineralised system.
