Albion Resources Unveils Three New Gold Targets Ahead of June Drilling

Exploration Breakthrough at Barwidgee

Albion Resources has announced a significant advancement in its exploration efforts at the Barwidgee prospect, part of the Yandal West Project in Western Australia's Northeastern Goldfields. Recent Gradient Array Induced Polarisation (GAIP) and soil geochemical surveys have revealed three new priority drill target areas: Barwidgee Central, Harris North, and Barwidgee South. These targets exhibit coincident gold-in-soil anomalies alongside chargeability responses that suggest the presence of gold-related sulphide mineralisation.

Target Highlights and Geological Context

Barwidgee Central stands out with a large 1km by 300m gold-in-soil anomaly centered around a discovery hole that previously intersected 4 meters at 9 grams per tonne gold, with mineralisation still open at depth. GAIP data reveals a coincident 600m by 150m chargeability anomaly indicative of disseminated sulphides, further validated by historical rock chip assays ranging from 0.1 to 23.5 grams per tonne gold. The Dipole Dipole Induced Polarisation (DDIP) survey confirms chargeability extending to at least 250 meters depth, underscoring the target's potential scale.

Harris North and Barwidgee South are newly defined targets with no prior drilling history. Harris North features a 400m by 100m gold-in-soil anomaly coincident with a 200m by 100m chargeability anomaly, while Barwidgee South shows a 1km by 200m gold-in-soil anomaly aligned with a 500m by 100m chargeability anomaly open to the south. Both areas are covered by alluvial soil or limited previous exploration, making them compelling candidates for aircore and reverse circulation (RC) drilling.

Upcoming Drilling and Strategic Plans

Albion Resources is preparing to commence its maiden drilling campaign targeting these high-priority areas in mid to late June 2025. Heritage surveys are nearing completion, a critical step before drilling can proceed. The company plans to focus initial drilling efforts on Barwidgee Central, given its demonstrated drill readiness and strong geophysical signatures, with follow-up programs at Harris North and Barwidgee South.

CEO Peter Goh expressed optimism about the exploration progress, emphasizing the significance of these targets within the broader Yandal West Project. The integration of geophysical and geochemical data has enhanced confidence in the prospectivity of the Barwidgee structural corridor, which remains underexplored despite its evident potential.

Technical Rigor and Historical Context

The exploration work includes detailed soil sampling, historical rock chip assays, and advanced geophysical surveys such as GAIP and DDIP, designed to detect sulphide mineralisation often associated with gold deposits in Archean greenstone terrains.
