Exploration Momentum Builds at Saltwater

Aruma Resources Ltd (ASX: AAJ) is progressing its Saltwater Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, announcing the next phase of exploration activities focused on gold and gallium mineralisation. The company plans to initiate approximately 1,500 metres of reverse circulation drilling at the Terceira Prospect, a target defined by coincident gold, gallium, and arsenic soil anomalies. This drilling is pending receipt of all necessary government and heritage approvals, with the heritage survey now complete.

Simultaneously, Aruma is expanding its soil sampling program at the Talmine Prospect to follow up on previously reported exceptionally high gallium oxide assays, including a standout result of 136.05 grams per tonne. The expanded sampling aims to refine geochemical anomalies and better delineate drill targets, potentially unlocking further value in this underexplored area.

Strategic Targeting with Aeromagnetic Data

In addition to fieldwork, Aruma is reprocessing historical high-resolution aeromagnetic data over the Spinifex Dome and Trinity Dome areas within the Saltwater Project. These geophysical reinterpretations are designed to enhance the understanding of structural complexities and magnetic signatures, helping to prioritise future exploration targets across the 465 square kilometre project area.

The Saltwater Project is notable for its multi-commodity potential, with previous explorers having reported anomalies in gold, copper, gallium, arsenic, rare earth elements, and uranium. Aruma’s systematic soil sampling campaigns have been instrumental in vectoring in on promising targets, setting the stage for drilling programs that could confirm economic mineralisation.

Looking Ahead

With drilling at Terceira poised to commence upon approvals and expanded sampling underway at Talmine, Aruma is positioning itself to unlock the Saltwater Project’s value. The outcomes of these programs will be critical in determining the project's potential to contribute meaningfully to the company’s portfolio, which spans high-demand commodities including copper, uranium, gold, lithium, and rare earth elements.

Bottom Line?

Aruma’s upcoming drilling and sampling results at Saltwater will be pivotal in defining the project’s future and its role in the evolving Pilbara mining landscape.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will the drilling at Terceira confirm economically viable gold and gallium mineralisation?
  • How will the expanded sampling at Talmine refine the understanding of gallium distribution and potential?
  • What new insights will the reprocessed aeromagnetic data provide for targeting within the Saltwater Project?
