White Cliff Minerals Limited (ASX: WCN) has announced further encouraging assay results from its ongoing reverse circulation drilling campaign at the Rae Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada. The standout intercept from drillhole DAN25006 returned 75 metres grading 2% copper and 6.8 grams per tonne silver starting from just 7 metres downhole. Within this broad zone, a high-grade section of 18.3 metres at 4.66% copper and 17.2 grams per tonne silver was identified, underscoring the robust mineralisation potential at Danvers.

Additionally, the drilling revealed a previously unrecognised sub-parallel mineralised structure, with 12.19 metres at 1.13% copper and 2.13 grams per tonne silver intercepted further downhole. This discovery hints at a more complex and potentially richer mineral system than previously understood.

Extensive Surface Mineralisation Confirmed

Complementing the drilling results, surface rock chip sampling along the same structural trend southwest of Danvers has returned impressive copper and silver grades over a 5-kilometre strike length. Samples yielded copper grades as high as 16.15% and silver up to 74 grams per tonne, confirming that high-grade mineralisation is not confined to the drill area but extends significantly along the regional fault zone.

This structural corridor, visible in aerial imagery, remains largely undrilled, presenting a substantial exploration upside. White Cliff Minerals plans to undertake step-out drilling to test the continuity of the Danvers breccia-style mineralisation along this trend, which has never before been systematically explored.

Advanced Geophysical Survey to Accelerate Exploration

To better understand the subsurface geology and guide future drilling, the company will deploy a high-resolution drone-mounted MobileMT geophysical survey over the Rae licence area. This survey aims to fingerprint the geophysical signature of the Danvers mineralisation, enabling rapid and accurate identification of repetitions or extensions of the breccia and vein-fill style copper-silver deposits.

These geophysical insights, combined with ongoing drilling, will be critical in refining exploration targets and advancing the project towards a maiden JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate.

Historic Context and Future Outlook

The Rae Copper Project hosts a historic resource estimate of approximately 4.16 million tonnes at 2.96% copper, though this estimate is not JORC-compliant and requires modern verification. The recent results, alongside digitised historic data and new surface sampling, suggest that the Danvers structural zone could be significantly larger and more mineralised than previously thought.

White Cliff Minerals is preparing to mobilise its drilling and geophysical teams to site imminently, with plans to also initiate maiden drill programs at other promising targets within the Rae Project, including Hulk, Rocket, Thor, Vision, and Stark.
