Encouraging Early Results at Statesman Well

Solstice Minerals Limited (ASX – SLS) has reported compelling results from its maiden Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Statesman Well Gold Prospect, part of its expansive Yarri Project in Western Australia’s prolific Eastern Goldfields. The 22-hole program, designed to infill gaps in historical drilling and test down-plunge extensions, has delivered several shallow, high-grade gold intercepts that underscore the prospect’s potential.

Highlighting the results is an 8-metre intercept averaging 7.94 grams per tonne (g/t) gold starting from just 12 metres below surface, including a standout 1-metre sample grading 39.75 g/t. Other notable intercepts include 12 metres at 1.44 g/t and 4 metres at 2.54 g/t, all within a mineralised trend approximately one kilometre long.

Geological Context and Historical Continuity

The gold mineralisation is hosted within a chert and quartz-stockwork horizon that dips steeply east and shows evidence of a southerly plunge shoot, a structural feature that may control the distribution of higher-grade zones. These findings build on historical shallow RC drilling results from previous explorers, which reported similar grades and widths, lending confidence to the continuity of mineralisation along the trend.

Solstice’s CEO, Nick Castleden, emphasised the significance of these early results, noting that the shallow nature of the intercepts combined with high grades provides a strong foundation for further exploration. The company is preparing to resume drilling promptly to test extensions and down-plunge targets, aiming to delineate a more comprehensive mineralised system.

Strategic Positioning within the Yarri Project

Statesman Well is one of three key prospects along a litho-structural trend that includes the Bluetooth and Edjudina Range discoveries, located 9 km and 32 km northwest respectively. Both Bluetooth and Edjudina Range have recently delivered encouraging shallow gold intercepts, with Bluetooth showing multiple intervals above 2 g/t gold over significant widths. Solstice plans an aggressive follow-up drilling campaign across all three prospects, leveraging the Yarri Project’s excellent infrastructure, including proximity to haul roads and processing facilities.

With over 1,600 square kilometres of highly prospective tenure in the Eastern Goldfields, Solstice is well positioned to capitalize on near-surface gold mineralisation in a region known for its mining-friendly environment and established logistics. The company’s broader portfolio also includes the advanced Nanadie Copper-Gold Project, highlighting its diversified exploration strategy.
