Green Critical Minerals Launches Scalable VHD Graphite Plant, Eyes 2026 Revenue
Green Critical Minerals has completed commissioning of the first module of its commercial-scale VHD Graphite Production Plant, setting the stage for scalable manufacturing and targeted revenue in early 2026.
- First module of modular VHD Graphite Plant commissioned
- Modular design enables cost-effective, scalable production
- Targeting first revenue in first half of 2026
- Recent A$7 million funding supports commercialisation and scale-up
- Strong global customer engagement across clean energy and tech sectors
A Milestone in Commercial-Scale Production
Green Critical Minerals (GCM) has announced the successful commissioning of the first module of its commercial-scale VHD Graphite Production Plant. This marks a pivotal transition from pilot-scale operations to manufacturing commercial quantities of their proprietary graphite products. The modular design of the plant allows GCM to expand production capacity efficiently and in line with customer demand, a strategic advantage in the competitive advanced materials market.
Module 1, now operational, produces larger graphite blocks measuring up to 300 by 300 millimeters, significantly enhancing the company's manufacturing capabilities. This scale-up is a critical step toward meeting the needs of industries requiring advanced thermal management solutions, such as clean energy and high-performance technology sectors.
Backing and Market Engagement
The commissioning follows a recent A$7 million institutional placement, which funds the accelerated commercialisation, scale-up, and product qualification trials. GCM’s Managing Director, Clinton Booth, highlighted the flexibility the modular approach offers, enabling rapid scaling without heavy upfront capital expenditure.
Customer interest is robust and global, with formal sample requests and early-stage engagements spanning Australia, Europe, North America, and Asia. Partnerships include a collaboration with Australian data centre operator GreenSquareDC and exploratory talks with semiconductor manufacturers, underscoring the broad applicability of VHD graphite technology.
Looking Ahead, Commercialisation and Expansion
GCM is targeting first revenue in the first half of 2026, with a strong pipeline of milestones expected through the remainder of 2025. These include production of commercial VHD graphite products, design and manufacture of heat sinks and spreaders, expansion of production capacity, and receipt of customer feedback from qualification trials.
Additionally, the company plans to expand its logistics footprint to North America and Europe, positioning itself to better serve its growing international customer base. While no sales agreements have been announced yet, the company anticipates closing deals by late 2025, which will be critical to validating market acceptance and driving revenue growth.
Overall, the successful commissioning of the first production module represents a significant leap forward for GCM, validating its scalable technology and positioning it well within the fast-evolving thermal management materials market.
Bottom Line?
With production underway and global interest mounting, GCM’s next challenge will be converting scale and innovation into sustained revenue growth.
Questions in the middle?
- How quickly will GCM add additional modules to scale production?
- What feedback will customers provide during the qualification and acceptance stages?
- When and on what terms will GCM secure its first long-term commercial agreements?
