Premier1 Lithium Unveils High-Grade Gold Zone at Abbotts North

A New Chapter in Abbotts North Exploration

Premier1 Lithium has announced a significant breakthrough at its Abbotts North Project in Western Australia's Murchison region, reporting high-grade gold assay results from Phase 2 rock chip sampling. The highlight is the identification of a previously unexplored mineralised zone in the northern section of tenement E51/2126, a historically productive gold belt. Notably, assays returned grades as high as 11.7 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, alongside other encouraging results such as 1.63 g/t gold, underscoring the prospectivity of this new area.

Strengthening the Case with Soil Anomalies

Complementing the rock chip results, Premier1’s soil sampling has delineated coherent multi-element anomalies, including gold, copper, and arsenic. These geochemical footprints provide a robust framework for drill targeting, identifying multiple walk-up targets that can be rapidly advanced. The soil anomalies extend over significant strike lengths, suggesting the mineralised system may be more extensive than previously understood.

Strategic Location and Geological Context

The Abbotts North Project lies within the Murchison greenstone belt, a region renowned for its gold endowment. It is situated just a few kilometres from New Murchison Gold’s Crown Prince deposit, which boasts a resource of 279,000 ounces at 3.9 g/t gold. This proximity to a known high-grade deposit adds geological credibility to Premier1’s findings and heightens the potential for resource growth within the project area.

Advancing Exploration with Phase 3 Program

Building on these promising results, Premier1 has already commenced a Phase 3 exploration program focused on detailed mapping, further rock chip sampling, and geophysical surveys. The company aims to refine its understanding of the mineralisation controls and prepare for drill testing scheduled for the second half of 2025. Managing Director Jason Froud emphasised the company's commitment to unlocking the full potential of Abbotts North, highlighting the clear direction provided by the new mineralised zone and the strong multi-element soil anomalies.

Early Days but Multiple Growth Opportunities

Despite the encouraging assay results and geological indicators, the Abbotts North Project remains at an early stage of exploration with no drilling results reported yet. The area is significantly underexplored, with limited historical work and substantial portions of the tenement covered by transported cover, which has previously hindered exploration. Premier1’s systematic approach and expanding dataset position the project well for a potential step-change in value as further work progresses.
