The company’s inaugural Phase 1 drilling campaign at the Tambo South target intersected broad, continuous zones of anomalous copper, a technical success that validates its geological targeting approach. This initial drilling tested only two of several high-priority targets across a largely underexplored region, highlighting the potential for significant discoveries.

Geological Modelling Supports Expansion Potential

Updated 3D geological and geochemical models incorporating the latest drill data confirm that mineralised zones at Tambo South, defined by copper concentrations exceeding 0.1%, remain open both laterally and at depth. This suggests substantial scope for expanding the known mineralisation footprint, with the highest probability zones extending beyond current drill depths. The presence of copper sulfide minerals consistent with a high-sulfidation epithermal system overlying a copper porphyry further supports the prospectivity of the area.

Toro South Emerges as a Compelling Target

Meanwhile, surface sampling at Toro South, located approximately 20 kilometres southeast of ATEX Resources’ Valeriano Project, returned anomalous assays for copper, gold, silver, and zinc. The geochemical signatures and alteration patterns indicate a potential epithermal system with an underlying porphyry copper-gold target. The Toro South target is characterised by a porphyritic dacite intrusion with pervasive hydrothermal alteration, reinforcing its geological similarity to nearby significant deposits.

Next Steps – Geophysical Surveys and Follow-Up Drilling

To sharpen drill targeting ahead of the 2025 field season, Belararox plans magnetotellurics (MT) geophysical surveys at both Toro South and Tambo South. MT surveys are capable of imaging low-resistivity zones associated with copper porphyry mineralisation to depths exceeding 2,000 metres. This technique has proven effective in refining drill targets at nearby projects such as the Valeriano Deposit. The company’s exploration team is optimistic that these surveys will delineate the most prospective zones for a Phase 2 drilling campaign.

The TMT Project occupies a strategic location between the prolific El Indio and Maricunga metallogenic belts, regions renowned for significant copper and gold deposits.
