Significant Resource Upgrade

Rumble Resources Limited (ASX – RTR) has delivered a notable boost to its Western Queen Gold Project, announcing a Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) upgrade to 3.72 million tonnes at 3.1 grams per tonne gold, totaling 370,000 ounces. This represents a 29% increase in contained gold ounces and a 53% uplift in grade compared to the previous estimate released in October 2024.

The upgrade incorporates over 10,600 meters of recent reverse circulation and diamond drilling, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to expanding and refining its resource base. The most pronounced growth was recorded at the Western Queen South deposit, where the resource now stands at 2.32 million tonnes at 2.66 grams per tonne for nearly 199,000 ounces, a 59% increase in ounces.

Strategic Shift Towards Underground Mining

In light of the enhanced resource profile, Rumble has commenced an underground mining study focusing on the Western Queen South and Central deposits. This initiative follows preliminary positive outcomes and aims to compare the economics of underground operations against the previously considered open pit approach. The updated resource block model, which integrates the latest drilling data and geological interpretations, underpins this study.

The Western Queen Project benefits from its location within granted mining leases and proximity, within 200 kilometers, to five gold processing facilities, including the nearby Dalgaranga Mill with a 2.5 million tonnes per annum capacity. This logistical advantage could facilitate efficient processing once mining operations commence.

Exploration Potential and Historical Context

Historical mining at Western Queen has produced approximately 880,000 tonnes at a high grade of 7.6 grams per tonne for 215,000 ounces, underscoring the project’s long-standing value. The current resource remains open both along strike and at depth along the 2.7-kilometer Western Queen Shear Zone, suggesting further upside potential.

Rumble plans additional drilling campaigns aimed at extending high-grade mineralisation and upgrading a significant portion of the newly defined Inferred Resources to the higher-confidence Indicated category. The company has also submitted a Heritage Survey Request for proposed drilling in late 2025 or early 2026, signaling ongoing exploration momentum.

Robust Geological and Technical Foundation

The resource upgrade is supported by rigorous geological modelling and sampling protocols, including Ordinary Kriging estimation and detailed domain wireframing. Bulk density measurements and quality control procedures have been meticulously applied, ensuring the reliability of the updated resource figures. The project’s mineralisation is structurally controlled within a shear zone, with high-grade gold associated with sulphidic quartz veins and amphibolite host rocks.

Rumble’s Managing Director and CEO, Peter Harold, highlighted the significance of the upgrade, noting the improved grade and resource confidence, particularly at Western Queen South. He emphasized the company’s focus on evaluating underground mining economics as a priority moving forward.
