Strong Drilling Results Reinforce Trafalgar’s Potential

Flynn Gold Limited (ASX, FG1) has announced encouraging assay results from its recently completed Phase 4 diamond drilling program at the Trafalgar Prospect, part of its wholly owned Golden Ridge Project in Northeast Tasmania. The program comprised four drill holes totaling 880 metres, targeting extensions of known high-grade gold mineralisation.

The drilling intersected multiple high-grade gold veins across three key zones, Trafalgar Main, Magazine, and the emerging South Zone. Highlights include intercepts such as 1.8 metres at 3.8 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 0.7 metres at 15.7 g/t gold in TFDD023, and 8 metres at 1.2 g/t gold including higher-grade sub-intervals in TFDD025. These results confirm the continuity of mineralisation and reinforce the company’s geological model, particularly at depth.

Geological Insights and Structural Complexity

Drilling has provided valuable data to refine Flynn Gold’s understanding of the structural controls on mineralisation. While most holes confirmed strong gold-bearing quartz-sulphide veins containing pyrite and arsenopyrite, one hole (TFDD024) encountered complex fault interactions that appear to influence mineral distribution. Flynn Gold is also advancing drilling at its Grenadier Prospect nearby, testing down-dip continuity of high-grade gold mineralisation previously identified in surface trenches. This multi-pronged exploration strategy underscores the company’s ambition to delineate a significant gold resource in Northeast Tasmania.

The Golden Ridge Project covers a 167 square kilometre area and is characterised by intrusive-related gold systems with steeply dipping quartz veins containing arsenopyrite and pyrite. Flynn Gold’s systematic exploration has identified a 9-kilometre-long zone of mineralisation along the southern margin of the Golden Ridge Granodiorite, with Trafalgar as a key focus.
