Albion’s Maiden Drilling Campaign Delivers Early Success

Albion Resources Limited (ASX, ALB) has marked a significant milestone with the commencement of its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Yandal West Project in Western Australia. The 3,000-metre program, initiated in late June 2025, targets multiple high-priority gold prospects within the Ives Find area, including the historically significant Collavilla prospect.

Early assay results from the first 12 holes at Collavilla have been highly encouraging, with gold mineralisation intersected in every hole. The standout intercept came from hole ALBRC006, which returned 11 metres at 20.0 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from just 17 metres depth, including a remarkable 1 metre at 106.9 g/t Au. These near-surface results highlight the potential for a robust gold system within the 4km by 750m granite intrusive at Ives Find.

Geological Insights and Exploration Strategy

Albion’s geologists have developed a new interpretation linking high-grade gold veins to thicker bands of mafic greenstone entrained within the granite. This insight directs future exploration efforts towards identifying additional dense mafic rafts, which may host further high-grade mineralisation. To support this, a ground gravity survey is underway to detect concealed mafic bodies beneath the surface, potentially expanding the known mineralised zones.

The drilling program also targets other promising areas such as Collavilla East and West, where chargeability anomalies and historical rock chip assays suggest significant gold potential. At Barwidgee Central, step-out drilling is underway around a discovery hole that returned 4m at 9.0 g/t Au, with further targets identified through geophysical and geochemical surveys.

Community Engagement and Corporate Strength

Importantly, Albion secured heritage clearance in collaboration with the Kultju People, ensuring respectful and compliant access to drilling sites. This milestone allowed the company to proceed with its RC drilling without delay.

Financially, Albion maintains a strong position with $3.3 million in cash at quarter-end and a tight capital structure of 132 million shares on issue. This robust funding base supports ongoing exploration activities and potential expansion, underpinning confidence in the company’s strategic direction.

Broader Portfolio and Next Steps

While Yandal West remains the focus, Albion is also reviewing its Mongers Lake and Leinster projects, with the Lennard Shelf tenements recently surrendered to streamline the portfolio.
