Metal Hawk Uncovers High-Grade Gold Veins at Leinster South’s Thylacine Prospect

Initial Drilling Validates Gold Potential

Metal Hawk Limited (ASX – MHK) has delivered encouraging early results from its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Leinster South Project in Western Australia’s renowned Agnew-Lawlers gold region. The first six holes drilled at the Thylacine prospect have confirmed the presence of high-grade gold mineralisation hosted within multiple stacked quartz veins, with assays returning grades as high as 5.28 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold.

These initial results validate previous surface mapping and rockchip sampling, demonstrating that the gold-bearing quartz veins extend into the bedrock. The intersections, though mostly narrow, show consistent continuity and strong gold tenor, reinforcing the prospect’s fertility and potential for resource growth.

Encouraging Grades and Structural Insights

Notable assay highlights include multiple one-meter intervals exceeding 1 g/t Au, with standout results such as 1m at 5.28 g/t from 47m depth and other intervals ranging between 2 to 4 g/t gold. The drilling has also provided valuable geometric data, confirming the orientation and dip of the mineralised quartz veins, which strike northwest and dip steeply northeast.

Importantly, geological mapping indicates zones of structural thickening where veins “blow out” to several meters wide, particularly at the Thylacine south zone. This structural complexity is now a key target for ongoing drilling, with the rig having returned to systematically test for thicker and higher-grade gold zones that could significantly enhance the project’s economics.

Broader Program and Technical Support

To date, Metal Hawk has completed 22 holes across the Leinster South Project, including seven at Thylacine and 17 at the nearby Siberian Tiger prospect. Assay results from the Siberian Tiger holes are eagerly awaited and expected to provide further insight into the project’s overall potential.

The company has also commissioned detailed downhole logging using optical and acoustic imaging to develop a robust structural model. This will aid in targeting fold hinges and zones of vein thickening, critical for identifying higher-grade mineralisation and guiding future drill programs.

Strong Financial Position Supports Exploration

Metal Hawk enters this phase of exploration well-funded, with $4.9 million in cash as of 30 June 2025. This financial strength underpins the company’s ability to aggressively pursue its maiden drilling campaign and advance the Leinster South Project towards resource definition.

Managing Director Will Belbin expressed optimism about the early results, noting that only a small fraction of the extensive surface footprint has been tested so far. He highlighted the company’s confidence in identifying thicker mineralised zones as geological understanding improves, setting a positive tone for the months ahead.
