Expanding the Enmore Gold Story

Koonenberry Gold Ltd has announced the final assay results from its Phase I diamond drilling campaign at the Enmore Gold Project in northeast New South Wales. The latest drilling has extended the known mineralised zone to around 260 metres along strike, with gold mineralisation intersected from surface down to over 300 metres vertically. This expansion highlights both the scale and potential of the Sunnyside Prospect within the project.

Among the standout results, drill hole 25ENDD007 returned a 60-metre interval grading 0.70 grams per tonne (g/t) gold starting at 105 metres depth, including higher-grade sub-intervals such as 17 metres at 1.67 g/t and 9 metres at 2.74 g/t. Other holes drilled further southwest also delivered encouraging intercepts, including 65 metres at 0.30 g/t and a narrower but high-grade 6 metres at 2.58 g/t, featuring a remarkable 1 metre at 11.90 g/t.

Geological Insights and Open Potential

The mineralisation is hosted predominantly within altered granite along the Sunnyside Shear Zone, a structural corridor that appears to plunge eastwards. The drilling results suggest the mineralised system remains open both up-plunge and at depth, with indications that higher-grade zones may exist along strike to the northeast and southwest. This structural complexity, combined with the presence of multiple alteration styles and visible gold in drill core, points to a robust and evolving gold system.

Importantly, Koonenberry has identified a broader 2-kilometre prospective zone along the shear zone, supported by favourable geology, gold and arsenic soil anomalies, and high-grade rock chip samples. Historical drilling in this area has been limited and shallow, leaving significant discovery potential untested.

Fully Funded Phase II Drilling Campaign

With a strong cash position of $8.7 million, Koonenberry is well placed to advance its exploration program. The company plans to commence a Phase II drilling campaign exceeding 10,000 metres in late August, subject to weather conditions. This next phase aims to test the continuity of mineralisation at Sunnyside and explore extensions along the Sunnyside Shear Zone, particularly to the east where the 2km prospective corridor lies.

Additional geophysical surveys, including induced polarization (IP) methods, are underway to refine drill targets and rank prospects across the district. These efforts form part of a broader strategy to unlock value from Koonenberry’s diverse portfolio of gold and copper projects in New South Wales.

Context Within a Growing Gold Province

The Enmore Gold Project sits within a geologically prospective region near the 1.7 million ounce Hillgrove gold-antimony mine, approximately 20 kilometres to the north. The orogenic gold mineralisation style at Enmore shares similarities with Hillgrove, including structurally controlled quartz and sulphide veins within metamorphosed granite and sedimentary contacts.

Koonenberry’s exploration success to date, including multiple broad and high-grade intercepts, suggests the potential for both bulk tonnage and higher-grade shoots.
