Bullabulling’s Growing Gold Resource Raises Stakes for Minerals 260
Minerals 260 Limited's latest drilling at the Bullabulling Gold Project reveals significant gold mineralisation extensions beneath and along strike from existing resources, including standout high-grade intercepts at Bacchus and Phoenix deposits.
- 75 new drill holes confirm gold extensions at Bullabulling
- High-grade assays include 7m @ 8.8g/t Au with 1m @ 45.1g/t Au at Bacchus
- Drilling supports potential to expand current 2.3Moz Mineral Resource Estimate
- Initial promising results from Gibraltar prospect, outside current resource
- Rig count to increase to seven to accelerate drilling and resource definition
Bullabulling Drilling Campaign Delivers Strong Gold Results
Minerals 260 Limited (ASX – MI6) continues to build momentum at its Bullabulling Gold Project in Western Australia, reporting assay results from 75 new drill holes totaling over 14,000 metres. The latest data confirms significant gold mineralisation extensions beneath and along strike from the existing 2.3 million ounce Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), reinforcing the project's potential for resource growth.
The drilling campaign has delivered some of the highest gram x metre intercepts in the project’s history, with standout results at the Bacchus deposit including a 7-metre intercept grading 8.8 grams per tonne gold, highlighted by a 1-metre section assaying an impressive 45.1 grams per tonne. Similarly, the Phoenix deposit continues to show promising extensional mineralisation at depth, with intercepts such as 3 metres at 13.3 grams per tonne gold from 293 metres downhole.
Extending Known Deposits and New Prospects
Drilling has not only confirmed extensions beneath the established pits at Bacchus and Phoenix but also demonstrated continuity of mineralisation along the full 8.5-kilometre strike of the current resource. Notably, step-out drilling between Bacchus and the Kraken deposit has intersected mineralisation that could link these deposits, suggesting a larger continuous gold system than previously modelled.
Adding to the excitement, the first phase of drilling at the Gibraltar prospect; currently outside the 2.3Moz MRE; has returned encouraging results, including a 7-metre intercept at 2.4 grams per tonne gold near surface. This discovery opens a new front for exploration, with a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate planned for Gibraltar by December 2025.
Accelerating Drilling and Resource Definition
To support this aggressive exploration and resource expansion strategy, Minerals 260 is increasing its rig count to seven, comprising four reverse circulation and three diamond rigs. This ramp-up will enable simultaneous infill, extensional, geotechnical, and metallurgical drilling programs, aiming to refine resource confidence and unlock further upside.
Managing Director Luke McFadyen expressed optimism about the campaign’s progress, noting that the company is more than halfway through its initial 80,000-metre drill program. He highlighted the potential to increase the Mineral Resource Estimate significantly and the promising early results at Gibraltar, underscoring that the full extent of the mineralised system remains to be defined.
Strategic Positioning in Western Australia’s Goldfields
Located 25 kilometres west of Coolgardie, Bullabulling sits within a prolific gold region with a substantial contiguous tenement package of 571 square kilometres. The project benefits from a well-established infrastructure and a history of exploration and mining dating back to the 1970s. Minerals 260’s ongoing work builds on this legacy, leveraging modern drilling and assay techniques to unlock new value.
With multiple deposits showing strong extensional potential and a new prospect emerging, Bullabulling is shaping up as a key asset in Minerals 260’s portfolio. The company’s methodical approach to resource growth and its commitment to rigorous exploration bode well for future development and potential production.
Bottom Line?
As Minerals 260 pushes deeper and wider at Bullabulling, the next tranche of drilling results will be critical to defining the project's true scale and value.
Questions in the middle?
- How will the maiden Mineral Resource Estimate at Gibraltar impact overall project valuation?
- What are the timelines and capital requirements for advancing Bullabulling towards production?
- How might ongoing drilling results influence Minerals 260’s strategic partnerships or financing options?
