Expanding the Gold Footprint at Ives Find

Albion Resources Limited has significantly expanded its exploration footprint at the Ives Find area within the Yandal West Gold Project by identifying 17 new regional gold targets. Among these, seven have been prioritised as drill-ready zones based on their geological similarity to the previously successful Collavilla prospect, which delivered impressive high-grade gold intersections earlier this year.

The newly identified targets lie within a substantial 4-kilometre by 750-metre corridor that remains largely underexplored. This vast area offers a compelling opportunity to uncover additional high-grade gold mineralisation, leveraging modern exploration techniques that integrate gravity surveying, chargeability mapping, geochemical sampling, and detailed structural interpretation.

Integrated Exploration Techniques Drive Target Generation

Albion’s approach combines multiple datasets to pinpoint zones where gold-bearing structures intersect dense greenstone rafts within the Ives Granite intrusive. Gravity surveys have been particularly instrumental in mapping these high-density mafic bodies, which are closely associated with high-grade gold veins at Collavilla. Chargeability and resistivity anomalies further refine these targets, while geochemical data from rock chips and soils confirm gold trends.

Among the high-priority targets are Boiler Room, Collavilla East and West, Honeycomb, Ives North, Duck, and Duckling. These prospects exhibit strong geological and geophysical signatures, historic high-grade intercepts, and structural settings analogous to Collavilla, suggesting significant potential for further discoveries.

Drilling Underway to Test High-Impact Targets

Building on the momentum from Collavilla’s standout drill result of 11 metres at 20 grams per tonne gold, Albion has commenced a 2,800-metre phase 2 reverse circulation drilling program. This campaign targets the newly defined high-priority zones as well as extensional drilling at Collavilla itself. The company aims to replicate its earlier success across multiple zones within the Ives Find corridor.

Pending assay results from this drilling phase are expected within the next three to four weeks and will be critical in validating the potential of these targets. Meanwhile, Albion is progressing further geophysical surveys and sampling programs at other regional prospects such as Barwidgee and May Queen to continue expanding its exploration pipeline.

The Yandal West Project is strategically located within the prolific Yandal Greenstone Belt of Western Australia, a region renowned for hosting multi-million-ounce gold deposits and major mining operations like Northern Star Resources’ Jundee and Bronzewing mines. Recent acquisitions by industry leaders in the belt underscore its growing commercial appeal.

Albion’s landholding benefits from proximity to key infrastructure and tier-one deposits, positioning the company well to unlock shallow, high-grade gold systems. The ongoing exploration success at Ives Find could enhance the project’s value and attract further interest in this highly prospective corridor.
