SimbleSense Powers UK Forecourt Energy Efficiency

Simble Solutions Limited (ASX, SIS), a global sustainability technology provider, has announced a major contract with Ascona Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent forecourt operators. The three-year agreement, valued at AUD 760,000 (approximately £370,000), will see Simble’s SimbleSense platform rolled out across more than 60 Ascona locations nationwide.

Ascona, which operates a network of 62 forecourts serving around 300,000 customers weekly, is leveraging SimbleSense to gain granular, real-time insights into energy consumption. The platform enables site and area managers to monitor energy usage down to individual devices or circuits, identify underperforming assets, and pinpoint opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Strategic Alignment with Net-Zero Ambitions

The deployment of SimbleSense aligns closely with Ascona’s broader strategy to modernize its estate, reduce operating costs, and advance its net-zero carbon goals. Energy costs represent a significant portion of Ascona’s expenses, and the ability to track and manage energy consumption in real time is expected to drive meaningful reductions.

Fadi Geha, CEO of Simble Solutions, highlighted the strategic importance of the deal, noting that it builds on the company’s UK growth momentum and validates SimbleSense as a critical tool for energy management in the forecourt sector. Meanwhile, Ascona’s Group Finance Director, Shane Higgon, emphasized the platform’s role in empowering managers with actionable data to improve asset efficiency and extend equipment life.

Rollout and Financial Details

The installation phase began in April 2025, with a target completion date set for December 2025. Each site will incur an average upfront hardware cost of around AUD 5,000 (£2,500), supplemented by recurring annual software license fees consistent with Simble’s pricing structure. While the announcement does not disclose detailed financial projections, the contract represents a meaningful revenue stream and a foothold in a key UK market segment.

SimbleSense’s integrated hardware and software solution is designed to provide businesses with comprehensive energy visibility and control, supporting both cost management and sustainability objectives. This contract with Ascona further cements Simble’s position as a leading provider of energy intelligence solutions in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Bottom Line?

As Simble’s UK rollout accelerates, investors will watch closely for tangible cost savings and sustainability outcomes driving future growth.
