Could Antimony Ridge’s Expanded Footprint Transform Resolution Minerals’ Idaho Project?

Resolution Minerals Ltd has reported exceptional assay results from its Antimony Ridge Target in Idaho, revealing record-grade antimony, silver, and gold that significantly expand the known mineralised footprint at its Horse Heaven Project.

  • Rockchip samples show up to 49.8% antimony, 1,420 g/t silver, and 4.43 g/t gold
  • Soil sampling delineates a large 1,000m by 700m mineralised corridor, open-ended in all directions
  • Antimony Ridge mineralisation footprint materially larger than previously known
  • Historical trench and drilling data support extensive Sb-Au-Ag mineralisation
  • Next steps include metallurgical testing, bulk sampling, and planned drilling

Exceptional Surface Sampling Results

Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX – RML) has announced outstanding assay results from recent surface rockchip and soil sampling at its Antimony Ridge Target, part of the Horse Heaven Gold-Antimony-Tungsten Project in Idaho, USA. The highlight grab samples returned unprecedented grades, including 49.8% antimony (Sb), 1,420 grams per tonne (g/t) silver (Ag), and 3.12 g/t gold (Au), marking the highest grades recorded at the project to date. Another sample showed 10.35% Sb, 68.5 g/t Ag, and 4.43 g/t Au, underscoring the presence of very high-grade mineralisation.

Expanding the Mineralised Footprint

Complementing the rockchip results, a comprehensive soil sampling program delineated a broad, northeast-southwest trending mineralised corridor approximately 1,000 meters long and 700 meters wide. This corridor, open-ended along strike, hosts significant Sb-Ag-Au anomalies and suggests a much larger mineralised system than previously understood. Soil assays reached up to 0.5% Sb, 0.9 g/t Au, and 68 g/t Ag, extending mineralisation beyond historical workings and trenching.

Historical Context and Geological Setting

Antimony Ridge sits adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite Gold Project, a major regional development. Historical trench sampling at Antimony Ridge revealed substantial Sb-Au-Ag mineralisation, with rockchip channel samples returning up to 5.9 g/t Au, 19% Sb, and 367 g/t Ag. Past drilling intersected significant gold mineralisation but did not assay for antimony, leaving a gap that Resolution Minerals is now addressing. The mineralisation is hosted in veins and breccias within altered granodiorite, consistent with the regional geological setting dominated by Cretaceous granitic intrusions.

Strategic Implications and Next Steps

Resolution Minerals’ CEO of U.S. Operations, Craig Lindsay, emphasised the growing scale and potential of the Horse Heaven Project, noting that the recent results reveal a much larger opportunity for antimony, gold, silver, and tungsten mineralisation. The company is advancing with further rockchip sampling, detailed mapping, bulk sampling, and preliminary metallurgical test work on stibnite ore to better understand processing characteristics. A Phase 1 drilling program is underway at the nearby Golden Gate target, with plans to seek permits for drilling at Antimony Ridge to refine exploration targets and potentially define a JORC-compliant resource.

Market and Industry Context

High-grade antimony, especially at levels approaching 50% Sb, is rare and highly sought after due to its potential for direct shipping ore with limited processing. This positions Antimony Ridge as a strategically important asset amid growing demand for critical minerals used in electronics, flame retardants, and battery technologies. Resolution Minerals’ expanding footprint and high-grade results could attract significant investor interest as the company progresses toward resource definition and development.

Bottom Line?

With record-grade assays and a vastly expanded mineralised footprint, Resolution Minerals is poised to unlock significant value at Antimony Ridge, but metallurgical and drilling results will be critical next milestones.

Questions in the middle?

  • How will metallurgical test results influence the economic viability of Antimony Ridge’s high-grade antimony?
  • What will the upcoming drilling programs reveal about the continuity and depth of mineralisation?
  • How might Resolution Minerals position Horse Heaven within the broader critical minerals market?
