Dittmer Stage 5 Drilling Yields 76 g/t Gold and 1.4% Copper Intercepts

Ballymore Resources reports standout high-grade gold, silver, and copper results from its latest drilling at the Dittmer Gold Project, reinforcing confidence in the Duffer Lode’s continuity and prompting plans to extend underground exploration.

  • Stage 5 drilling yields some of the highest-grade gold, silver, and copper intersections to date
  • Strong evidence of the Duffer Lode’s southern plunge and thickening at depth
  • Preparations underway to extend underground exploration drive pending mining lease approval
  • CEI-funded IP survey at Andromache highlights promising porphyry copper targets
  • Company well-funded following recent capital raise, with extensive 2025-26 work programs planned

Stage 5 Drilling Delivers High-Grade Results

Ballymore Resources (ASX – BMR) has released the final assay results from its Stage 5 drilling campaign at the Dittmer Gold Project in North Queensland, revealing some of the highest-grade gold, silver, and copper intersections encountered to date. Notably, drill hole DTDD061 intersected 1.10 meters grading 24.54 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 8.3 g/t silver, and 0.45% copper, including a remarkable 0.35 meters at 76.39 g/t gold, 25.71 g/t silver, and 1.40% copper. These results build on previous campaigns and significantly bolster confidence in the continuity of the high-grade Duffer Lode’s displaced extension.

Another hole, DTDD062, targeted the lode 200 meters below prior drilling and, despite premature termination due to deviation, intersected mineralised veining consistent with the Duffer Lode’s style, suggesting the mineralised envelope may extend deeper than previously confirmed.

Southern Extension and Underground Development

Encouraged by these results, Ballymore is fast-tracking preparations to extend the underground exploration drive to access and drill test the interpreted southern extension of the Duffer Lode. This development is contingent on the grant of a new mining lease (MLA100351), but once approved, it will enable more efficient, low-cost underground drilling, potentially saving over 8,000 meters of surface drilling and more than $2.5 million in costs.

The company’s Managing Director, David A-Izzeddin, highlighted the strategic importance of these efforts, stating that with gold prices near record highs and a successful recent capital raise, Ballymore is well-positioned to delineate resources and advance towards production at the earliest opportunity.

Regional Exploration and Porphyry Targets

Beyond Dittmer, Ballymore has completed a government-supported induced polarisation (IP) geophysical survey at the Andromache prospect, located 20 kilometers south. This survey, funded through a Collaborative Exploration Initiative grant, has identified chargeable anomalies at depth consistent with a buried porphyry copper system. The Andromache prospect, historically mined for oxide gold in the 1980s, now shows renewed potential for copper-gold-silver mineralisation, with detailed modelling of the IP data underway and final results expected in October.

Well-Funded and Strategically Positioned

Ballymore’s recent $4.5 million capital raise has provided the financial foundation to pursue an ambitious exploration and development program through 2025 and 2026. Planned activities include further drilling at Dittmer, commencement of the Ruddygore drilling program, and ongoing regional exploration to unlock the broader potential of its Queensland portfolio.

Positive metallurgical testwork on Dittmer mineralisation, including cyanide leach and flotation tests, supports the economic viability of the project, adding further momentum to Ballymore’s pathway towards a potential mine restart.

Bottom Line?

With high-grade hits and strategic underground development imminent, Ballymore is poised to redefine Dittmer’s potential, next steps hinge on mining lease approval and further drilling results.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will the new mining lease approval come through on schedule to enable underground drive extension?
  • How will the final modelling of the Andromache IP survey influence Ballymore’s regional exploration priorities?
  • What are the timelines and expected scale for resource delineation drilling following the underground development?
