Auravelle Completes 3,100m Drill Program Targeting High-Grade Gold Zones

Exploration Momentum Builds in South Australia

Auravelle Metals Limited (ASX, AUV) has completed its second gold-focused drilling program across its South Australian portfolio, targeting the Nuckulla Hill and Tunkillia North projects. This latest campaign comprised a total of 51 holes, 10 Reverse Circulation (RC) holes and 41 aircore (AC) holes, covering just over 3,100 meters of drilling. The program aimed to follow up on promising high-grade gold intercepts previously reported at Sheoak and to test a large gold-in-calcrete anomaly at Tunkillia North.

Targeting High-Grade Zones and New Anomalies

The priority targets included three RC holes at Sheoak, located north and along strike from earlier high-grade results such as 4 meters at 16.2 grams per tonne gold within a broader 16-meter zone averaging 5.6 grams per tonne. These holes are expected to shed light on the size and geometry of the mineralisation, critical for assessing the project's potential scale.

Meanwhile, the AC drilling focused heavily on the expansive 5km by 5km gold-in-calcrete anomaly at Tunkillia North, approximately 10 kilometers north of the known 1.6 million ounce Tunkillia gold deposit. This represents a significant early-stage target that could materially enhance Auravelle’s resource base if assays confirm substantial mineralisation.

Next Steps and Broader Exploration Plans

Samples from the drilling program are currently being submitted to ALS laboratories in Adelaide, with assay results anticipated within 4 to 6 weeks. These results will be pivotal in guiding the company’s next phase of exploration, which includes a planned follow-up RC drilling program in the fourth quarter of 2025. This will be complemented by an aircore drilling campaign at Auravelle’s Crown gold project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia, scheduled to commence in early October.

Managing Director Andrew Muir expressed satisfaction with the program’s progress, highlighting the company’s aggressive approach to testing its portfolio of highly prospective gold projects. The combination of follow-up drilling and new targets underscores Auravelle’s commitment to advancing its South Australian assets within the prolific Gawler Craton region.

Geological Context and Exploration Potential

The geological setting across the projects includes sheared granite and dolerite with alteration minerals such as sericite, chlorite, and epidote, typical indicators of gold mineralisation in the region. The consistency of these features across Sheoak, Sheoak East, Sheoak North, and Arcoordaby prospects supports the potential for significant discoveries as drilling continues.

With assay results pending, the market will be watching closely to see whether Auravelle can replicate or exceed the high-grade intercepts from earlier drilling.
