Albion Resources Limited has announced the final batch of assay results from its maiden reverse circulation drilling program at the Yandal West Gold Project in Western Australia. The highlight comes from the Barwidgee Prospect, where two scissor holes have confirmed a high-grade, west-dipping gold structure. Notably, hole ALBRC055 intersected 22 metres at 3.8 grams per tonne gold starting from 36 metres depth, including a standout 5 metres at 12.6 g/t Au. This extends known mineralisation 15 metres south of previous drilling and remains open along strike and at depth.

Expanding Structural Understanding at May Queen South

At the May Queen South prospect, Albion drilled an infill hole that intersected broad zones of lower-grade gold mineralisation within a felsic intrusive host rock. These results, including 2 metres at 0.7 g/t Au near surface, are interpreted as a gold halo adjacent to a steep west-dipping high-grade structure. This improved structural insight across a 4-kilometre corridor is critical for guiding future drilling efforts. Complementary geophysical work, including a recently completed gravity survey and a planned gradient array induced polarity (GAIP) survey, aims to identify sulphide-associated targets that could host higher-grade mineralisation.

Encouraging Mineralisation at Collavilla and Regional Targets

Further drilling at the Collavilla prospects has confirmed gold mineralisation at depth and to the east, with intersections such as 6 metres at 0.6 g/t Au including 1 metre at 2.9 g/t Au. These zones remain open and warrant additional drilling. Regional exploration activities continue with soil sampling at Collavilla North and systematic multi-element rock sampling across the Ives Granite, leveraging recent CSIRO research to vector into fertile zones. Albion is building a robust pipeline of targets across the project area.
