Drilling Resumes at a Historic Gold District

Oakajee Corporation Ltd has commenced a focused aircore drilling campaign at its Paynes Find Gold Project, situated roughly 455 kilometers northeast of Perth in Western Australia. This initiative follows up on encouraging gold mineralisation detected during previous drilling phases, notably the anomalous gold results reported in early 2024.

The current program involves 28 drill holes, covering about 1500 meters, designed to both infill and extend the known gold-bearing zones at the Paynes Find South target. The area lies within the Paynes Find Greenstone Belt, a region with a rich history of gold production exceeding 72,000 ounces, underscoring its potential for further discoveries.

Building on Earlier Successes

Earlier aircore drilling campaigns, including the one completed in November 2023, revealed anomalous gold concentrations exceeding 0.1 grams per tonne, accompanied by pathfinder elements such as bismuth, arsenic, cobalt, copper, and tungsten. These geochemical signatures suggest a weathering dispersion halo emanating from a yet-to-be-intersected bedrock source, indicating the presence of a potentially significant mineralised system.

Importantly, the gold mineralisation trend remains open to the south beneath shallow alluvial cover, with structural features visible in aeromagnetic imagery guiding the current drilling layout. Oakajee’s strategy to infill and extend the target area aims to better define the extent and continuity of this mineralisation, which could have meaningful implications for resource development.

Looking Ahead to Results and Impact

The aircore drilling program is expected to be completed within approximately one week, with assay results anticipated by late in the December quarter. These results will be critical in assessing the project's potential to contribute to Oakajee’s growth pipeline and may influence future exploration and development decisions.

While the company has not provided updated resource estimates or production guidance at this stage, the ongoing exploration activity at Paynes Find signals Oakajee’s commitment to unlocking value from this historically productive gold belt.
