Dual Listing Approved to Broaden Investor Base

Uvre Limited (ASX – UVA) has secured approval for a secondary listing on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX) Main Board, marking a significant milestone in its growth strategy. The dual listing, effective from 16 October 2025, will allow Uvre shares to be traded locally in New Zealand under the same ticker, UVA, providing easier access for New Zealand’s institutional and retail investors.

This strategic move is designed to tap into New Zealand’s substantial equity investment sector, which includes a large pool of institutional capital and a broad retail investor base. By listing on NZX, Uvre aims to enhance liquidity and visibility in its home market, where its core gold exploration assets are located.

Focus on New Zealand Gold Projects

Uvre’s primary business is mineral exploration, with a strong focus on gold projects in New Zealand. Its flagship assets include the Waitekauri Gold Project on the North Island and the Oturehua Gold Project on the South Island. These projects lie within historically rich goldfields, such as the Hauraki and Otago Goldfields, which have produced significant gold and silver deposits over the past century.

The Waitekauri Project, in particular, is positioned near OceanaGold’s Waihi gold mine and hosts multiple high-potential exploration targets. Uvre is preparing to commence its maiden drilling campaign at Waitekauri in October 2025, aiming to define a multi-million-ounce gold resource. The company recently signed a drilling contract with New Zealand-based EcoDrilling Limited and secured a diamond rig for this purpose.

Financial Position and Recent Capital Raising

Uvre strengthened its financial position earlier this year by completing a $4 million capital raising led by Bell Potter, issuing 50 million shares at 8 cents each. As of 30 June 2025, the company held approximately $2.56 million in cash, which has since increased to around $5.4 million following the capital raise, with no debt on its balance sheet. This financial flexibility supports ongoing exploration and development activities.

Alongside its New Zealand gold projects, Uvre also holds uranium exploration licenses in South Australia and Utah, USA, although these are currently secondary to its New Zealand focus.

Implications of the NZX Listing

The NZX listing not only facilitates trading convenience for New Zealand shareholders by allowing shares to be held under local Common Shareholder Numbers but also signals Uvre’s commitment to growing its presence in New Zealand’s mining sector. The company’s management believes that the dual listing will help establish a significant shareholder base in New Zealand, aligning investor interest with the geographic location of its key assets.

With exploration activities ramping up and the dual listing imminent, Uvre is positioning itself to attract new capital and investor attention on both sides of the Tasman Sea.

Bottom Line?

Uvre’s NZX dual listing sets the stage for deeper New Zealand market engagement as exploration accelerates.

Questions in the middle?

  • How will the dual listing impact Uvre’s share liquidity and valuation in both markets?
  • What are the expected timelines and targets for results from the maiden drilling at Waitekauri?
  • Could Uvre’s uranium projects in Australia and the USA gain renewed focus following gold exploration progress?
