Albion Resources Limited has announced compelling new geophysical and geochemical findings at its Yandal West Gold Project, located in Western Australia's prolific Yandal Greenstone Belt. The recent gravity survey and soil geochemistry data have delineated a 5-kilometre gold-bearing structural corridor at the May Queen prospect, interpreted as an extension of the well-known Bronzewing fault system. This discovery significantly enhances the scale and potential of the May Queen area, which has long been recognised for its gold mineralisation.

The gravity data reveal multiple felsic intrusive bodies within mafic greenstones, a geological setting commonly associated with major gold deposits in the region. Notably, a large felsic intrusive complex measuring approximately 1 km by 600 m has been identified at May Queen South, with a separate 1 km-long intrusive at May Queen West. These intrusives, coupled with structural splays, appear to host high-grade gold mineralisation, underscoring the prospectivity of the corridor.

Geochemical Signatures Point to Fertile Gold System

Integration of over 1,400 soil samples has highlighted strong correlations between gold, tungsten, and bismuth anomalies. Such pathfinder metal associations are characteristic of intrusion-related gold systems, similar to those found at the nearby Bronzewing deposit. These geochemical trends align closely with the gravity-defined intrusives and structural corridors, reinforcing the interpretation of a large-scale, fertile gold system.

Historical drilling results complement these findings, with notable high-grade intersections such as 4 metres at 25.7 grams per tonne gold and 4 metres at 5.7 grams per tonne gold within broader mineralised zones. Importantly, these zones remain open along strike and untested in several directions, presenting clear targets for follow-up exploration.

New Targets and Upcoming Drilling Campaign

Albion has defined eight key target areas across the May Queen prospect, including extensions to known mineralisation zones and newly identified targets such as Nugget Patch and May Queen Far East. Nugget Patch is particularly intriguing due to surface gold nuggets and strong gold-tungsten anomalies, yet it remains largely untested by drilling.

To refine these targets further, a Gradient Array Induced Polarisation (IP) survey is currently underway, aiming to map sulphide-rich zones that often accompany gold mineralisation. Heritage clearance processes are progressing, with reverse circulation (RC) drilling scheduled to commence in mid-November 2025. This drilling phase will focus on the highest-priority targets along the newly defined structural corridor, potentially unlocking significant resource upside.

The Yandal West Project sits amidst a cluster of world-class gold deposits and operations, including Northern Star Resources’ Jundee and Bronzewing mines, as well as the Wiluna Gold Mine.
