Strong Results Reinforce Minyari Dome Potential
Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX – AZY) has released a comprehensive update on its CY2025 drilling programs at the 100%-owned Minyari Gold-Copper Project, situated in the prolific Paterson Province of Western Australia. The company has completed Phase 1 drilling with 305 holes totaling over 35,000 metres, delivering assay results that confirm substantial resource growth across key deposits within the Minyari Dome, including Minella, GEO-01 Central, and Minyari South.
Among the standout results is a 67-metre intercept at 1.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 0.33% copper at Minella, featuring a high-grade core of 23 metres at 2.4 g/t gold and 0.65% copper from just 170 metres below surface. These grades underscore the quality and continuity of mineralisation immediately adjacent to the planned open pits, reinforcing the potential for resource expansion close to the proposed development footprint.
Discovery Drilling Uncovers New Targets
Phase 2 discovery-focused drilling is ongoing, with 128 holes completed to date. Early air core results from the Reaper-Poblano-Serrano (RPS) trend, located approximately 30 kilometres north of Minyari, have revealed a two-kilometre-long gold-copper anomaly. Notable intercepts include 36 metres at 0.5 g/t gold and 326 parts per million (ppm) copper, highlighting a new mineral system that warrants immediate follow-up. This discovery adds a fresh dimension to Antipa’s exploration portfolio and could significantly enhance the project’s scale and value.
Advancing Pre-Feasibility Study Workstreams
Alongside exploration, Antipa is progressing its Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) workstreams, which include resource definition drilling, geotechnical assessments, hydrological studies, and sterilisation drilling for infrastructure planning. The company has completed 18,340 metres of resource definition drilling as part of the PFS, with results supporting strong continuity of gold-copper zones within the Minyari deposit. These efforts aim to de-risk and refine the development opportunity, positioning Minyari Dome as a potential standalone gold-copper operation.
Antipa’s Managing Director, Roger Mason, emphasised the significance of the results – "These latest results from Minella continue to demonstrate the strength of the Minyari system and the growth potential that exists immediately adjacent to the planned Minyari open pits. Combined with extensions at GEO-01 and Minyari South, we are confident in the geology’s capacity for additional and sustained resource growth." He also highlighted the encouraging early indications from the RPS trend, signaling a new mineral system ripe for further drilling.
Strategic Position in a World-Class Province
The Minyari Project covers an extensive 4,100 square kilometres and hosts a 2.5 million ounce gold resource with significant copper, silver, and cobalt credits. It sits in a region renowned for major gold-copper deposits, including Greatland Resources’ Telfer Mine and Havieron project, as well as Rio Tinto-Sumitomo’s Winu deposit. Antipa’s ongoing exploration success and project advancement efforts place it well to capitalize on the region’s rich mineral endowment.
Looking ahead, the company expects to release remaining Phase 2 assay results and an updated Mineral Resource Estimate by October 2025. These milestones, coupled with continued PFS progress, will be critical in shaping the project’s development pathway and unlocking shareholder value.
Bottom Line?
Antipa’s latest drilling results at Minyari Dome reinforce its position as a rising gold-copper developer in a world-class mining province, with further growth and development milestones on the horizon.
Questions in the middle?
- How will the pending Phase 2 assay results impact the overall resource estimate and project economics?
- What are the key permitting and infrastructure challenges anticipated as the PFS advances?
- Could the Reaper-Poblano-Serrano discovery significantly alter the scale and scope of the Minyari Project?
