The company has been awarded approximately $50 million in additional works under its existing Clean Energy Link – North (CELN) project contract, originally secured earlier this year. This latest award increases GenusPlus’s total contract value for the CELN project to around $390 million.
In addition to the CELN contract extension, GenusPlus has also secured a new $25 million contract for the Network Renewal Underground Power Pilot project (NRUPP). This program focuses on undergrounding power lines in selected areas to enhance network reliability and resilience, a key priority for Western Power as it modernizes its infrastructure.
Supporting Western Australia’s Renewable Energy Ambitions
The CELN project is a cornerstone initiative aimed at upgrading the northern section of Western Australia’s largest electricity network. The additional works awarded include the design and construction of a new 132kV dual circuit transmission line, alongside enabling and conversion works on 132kV and 330kV lines. Despite the increased scope, the project timeline remains unchanged, with completion expected by mid-2027.
