Recent Fixed-Loop Time Domain Electromagnetic (FLTEM) surveys at the Midrim Project have uncovered a large, previously untested electromagnetic conductor situated directly beneath the high-grade Alotta Cu-Ni-PGM-Au deposit. This conductor extends the known mineralisation by an impressive 150 meters down-plunge, a zone that historic drilling failed to adequately test due to an unfavourable drill orientation.

The Alotta deposit is renowned for its exceptional grades, with prior drilling intercepts including 24.2 meters at 2.3% copper, 1.2% nickel, and 1.9 grams per tonne of combined precious metals. Individual samples have recorded bonanza-grade mineralisation, such as 0.4 meters at 23.8% copper and 20.5 grams per tonne of precious metals. The newly discovered conductor is interpreted as a potential feeder pathway to the source of this mineralisation, offering a compelling target for future drilling campaigns.

Recalibrating Exploration Strategy

One of the most striking revelations from the FLTEM data is that previous drilling at Alotta was conducted from the southwest, a direction now understood to be suboptimal for intersecting the mineralised plunge. The new conductor suggests that drilling from the northeast will be far more effective in delineating the deposit’s depth and lateral extensions. Beyond Alotta, the FLTEM surveys have also confirmed the presence of untested conductors at Lac Long North and Lac Kirwan West, both associated with gabbroic intrusions similar to those hosting mineralisation at Alotta. Exploration Momentum Across Belleterre

In addition to the copper-nickel-platinum group metal (Cu-Ni-PGM) targets, Pivotal is advancing exploration at the Lorraine East gold corridor. This target area includes historical underground channel samples grading 28 meters at 45 grams per tonne gold, underscoring its high-grade potential. An induced polarization (IP) survey is planned along a 1.5-kilometer mineralised corridor in the fourth quarter, aiming to refine drill targets and extend the known gold mineralisation.

The Belleterre projects benefit from their location within the world-class Abitibi greenstone belt, a region with established infrastructure including access to low-cost hydropower, road and rail networks, and nearby milling and smelting facilities. This infrastructure advantage enhances the economic viability of any new discoveries, potentially accelerating development timelines.

Pivotal Metals plans to complete follow-up FLTEM surveys over unsurveyed areas adjacent to Alotta and extend coverage to other known Cu-Ni-PGM occurrences.
