Expanding the Hopes Hill Gold Corridor

Golden Horse Minerals Limited (ASX, GHM) has announced compelling results from its maiden reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling programs at the Hopes Hill project in Western Australia's prolific Southern Cross Greenstone Belt. The latest assays confirm a mineralised strike length exceeding 2.5 kilometres, extending well beyond the historic mined area and highlighting the project's camp-scale potential.

The drilling campaign, focused on Hopes Hill North, South, and Main zones, has delivered multiple high-grade gold intercepts, including near-surface mineralisation. Notable results include 4 metres at 3.9 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from just 9 metres depth at Hopes Hill North, and a remarkable 34 metres at 2.5 g/t from 193 metres at Hopes Hill Main. These intercepts underscore the continuity and grade tenor of the mineralised system.

Strategic Drilling and Geological Insights

Golden Horse is actively deploying two diamond rigs alongside an RC rig to systematically test depth and strike extensions of known mineralised lodes. The company’s Managing Director, Nicholas Anderson, described the results as confirmation that Hopes Hill is a “sleeping giant,” with mineralisation open in all directions and significant untested strike and depth potential.

Geological observations suggest mineralisation is structurally hosted within quartz veining proximal to contacts between volcanic and sedimentary rocks, typical of orogenic gold deposits. The drilling has also identified thickening zones of mineralisation at depth, which will refine the geological model and guide future exploration efforts.

Regional Exploration and Next Steps

Beyond the immediate Hopes Hill trend, Golden Horse is preparing to launch a regional RC drilling program targeting shallow, high-grade gold prospects such as Marionete and Star of Ennuin. These areas have historical high-grade production records but remain underexplored in recent decades.

The company plans to continue infill and step-out drilling to delineate mineralisation more precisely, with assay results expected every two to three weeks. The ongoing work aims to build a robust resource base that could underpin future development and production decisions.
