Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Edge AI

Nanoveu Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, Embedded A.I. Systems Pte Ltd (EMASS), has announced a significant collaboration with Arrow Electronics, a global technology solutions provider. This partnership is designed to fast-track the adoption of EMASS’s ECS-DoT system-on-chip (SoC), an ultra-low-power edge AI processor, across a range of emerging technology sectors including wearables, industrial Internet of Things (IoT), smart sensing, and drones.

At the heart of this collaboration is the integration of EMASS’s milliwatt-class AI SoC with Arrow’s extensive engineering support, supply-chain management, and global distribution network. This combination aims to reduce the complexity and time required for developers and manufacturers to bring always-on AI devices to market.

Developer Tools and Reference Designs to Simplify Integration

To facilitate rapid prototyping and seamless integration, EMASS and Arrow are jointly developing enhanced software development kits (SDKs), developer tools, and modular reference designs. These resources will be anchored by a joint evaluation board, which is set to be unveiled at the Singapore Week for Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) event from October 29 to 31, 2025.

This evaluation board will provide developers with a turnkey platform to test real-time, on-device AI inference with minimal power consumption and reduced bill-of-materials overhead. The initiative is expected to smooth the path from concept to pilot production, enabling original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators to make informed design decisions more quickly.

Expanding Market Reach and Commercial Potential

Mark Goranson, CEO of Nanoveu’s Semiconductor Division, highlighted the strategic value of the partnership, noting that Arrow’s global footprint and engineering depth complement EMASS’s technology. The collaboration is positioned to open new end-markets where always-on, low-power AI can unlock innovative features without increasing battery size or device weight.

By leveraging Arrow’s supply-chain services and EMASS’s silicon roadmap, the partnership aims to establish a scalable commercial model that guides customers from proof-of-concept through to volume production. This could position the ECS-DoT SoC for multi-year design wins in fast-growing sectors.

Looking Ahead

Nanoveu plans to provide updates following the SWITCH event, particularly regarding the reception of the evaluation board and any material commercial developments. The collaboration underscores Nanoveu’s ambition to be a key player in the evolving edge AI and semiconductor landscape, where power efficiency and real-time processing are critical.

Bottom Line?

Nanoveu’s alliance with Arrow could be the catalyst that propels its ECS-DoT chip from innovation to industry staple.

Questions in the middle?

  • How quickly will the joint evaluation board translate into commercial contracts?
  • What specific customer segments will drive initial adoption of ECS-DoT SoC?
  • How will competitors respond to this collaboration in the ultra-low-power edge AI market?
