Gateway Mining Commences 46,728 km Line Aeromagnetic Survey and Drills 9,000m at Yandal

Gateway’s Strategic Expansion at Glenburgh South

Gateway Mining Ltd (ASX – GML) is stepping up its exploration efforts with the imminent commencement of a comprehensive aeromagnetic survey at its recently acquired Glenburgh South Gold Project in Western Australia. Scheduled to begin within the next two weeks, this high-resolution airborne survey will span approximately 46,728 line kilometres across the entire 620 square kilometre project area. The survey aims to map key structural trends and zones of alteration, which are critical in identifying prospective gold mineralisation targets.

The significance of Glenburgh South lies in its geological similarity to the adjacent Benz Mining Corp’s Glenburgh Deposit, which boasts over 510,000 ounces of gold. Gateway’s Executive Chairman, Andrew Bray, highlighted the presence of a historic 13-kilometre gold surface geochemistry anomaly within their tenure, which remains largely unexplored. The aeromagnetic data will underpin targeted exploration activities planned for 2026, including soil sampling and detailed geological mapping.

Robust Drilling Campaign at Yandal Gold Project

Meanwhile, Gateway’s flagship Yandal Gold Project continues to advance with an aggressive drilling program. Approximately 9,000 metres of a planned 44,000 metres of aircore drilling have been completed at the Mustang-Pony area, targeting complex structural zones believed to host significant gold mineralisation. The drilling focuses on lithological contacts and intrusive shear zones that have generated large-scale dilational zones over a 4.5-kilometre strike, considered prime settings for gold deposits.

Complementing the aircore program, the company has completed its first diamond drill hole at Comanche, targeting potassic alteration zones proximal to intrusions within conglomerate hosts. The diamond rig has since moved to the Haflinger prospect, where two scissor holes will test a strong, one-kilometre-wide induced polarization (IP) chargeability anomaly indicative of sulphide mineralisation. This anomaly aligns with key structural intersections and lithological contacts known to host high-grade gold mineralisation elsewhere on the project.

Further drilling is planned at Dusk ‘til Dawn and Great Western prospects before the 2025 campaign concludes, with a second diamond hole at Comanche also in the pipeline. These efforts reflect Gateway’s methodical approach to unlocking the full potential of its Yandal tenure.

Financial Position Supports Ambitious Exploration

Gateway Mining remains well funded to execute its exploration plans, holding approximately $12.1 million in cash and liquid ASX-listed securities as of the June quarter, supplemented by a recent $22.5 million capital raising. This strong financial position provides the company with the flexibility to sustain its extensive drilling and geophysical programs into 2026.
