Artemis Raises $4.9M as Karratha Drilling Yields High-Grade Gold Intersection
Artemis Resources has reported promising early drilling results at its Karratha Gold-Copper Project alongside key tenement grants and agreements at its Cassowary Exploration Project, supported by a recent $4.9 million capital raise.
- High-grade gold intersection of 5m @ 13.1g/t at Titan East drill hole
- Diamond drilling planned to follow up encouraging Karratha results in December and January
- Cassowary Project granted key tenement and executed land access agreement with Pila Nguru
- Successful $4.925 million placement to fund exploration and development
- Board and management changes to support next growth phase
Exploration Momentum Builds at Karratha
Artemis Resources Limited has made significant strides in its September 2025 quarter, advancing exploration at the Karratha Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia. The company commenced an 18-hole reverse circulation drilling program at the Titan gold prospect late in the quarter, targeting shallow gold mineralisation near the established Carlow resource. Early results have been encouraging, with one drill hole intersecting 5 metres at 13.1 grams per tonne gold, a high-grade find that validates the structural model and supports further drilling.
The Titan East target, situated within a complex structural zone, revealed favourable host rocks including ultramafic units and chert, with quartz veining and sulphides indicative of mineralisation potential. These geological features, combined with the high-grade assay, have prompted Artemis to prepare for diamond drilling in the December quarter to better define the extent and quality of the gold system.
Extending the Carlow Resource
Beyond Titan, Artemis is planning a diamond drilling campaign starting January 2026 to explore extensions of the Carlow gold-copper resource. The Carlow deposit, with an existing resource of 374,000 ounces of gold and 66,000 tonnes of copper, remains open at depth and along strike. The upcoming drilling will test a 600-metre gap east of the current resource, where previous intersections have shown promising grades, including 7 metres at 2.9 grams per tonne gold. This program aims to unlock additional high-grade zones that could materially enhance the resource base.
Cassowary Project Advances with Tenement and Agreements
Meanwhile, the Cassowary Exploration Project, located 440 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie, has seen important progress. Artemis secured the key exploration licence E69/4266 covering the large Cassowary Intrusion, a prime target for iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG) mineralisation. The company also executed a Land Access Agreement with the Pila Nguru Aboriginal Corporation, enabling planned diamond drilling at multiple sites subject to heritage clearance. This project represents a rare opportunity to explore a large, undrilled intrusion in a highly prospective geological setting.
Capital and Corporate Developments
Supporting these exploration activities, Artemis completed a strongly supported placement raising $4.925 million from institutional and sophisticated investors in Australia and the UK. The funds will underpin ongoing drilling programs and early development studies at Carlow and Cassowary. On the corporate front, Artemis announced board and management changes designed to bolster technical expertise and operational capacity as the company transitions into a more advanced exploration and development phase.
Financially, the company reported exploration expenditure of $483,000 for the quarter and ended with a robust cash position of $4.544 million, providing a solid runway for its upcoming work programs.
Bottom Line?
With high-grade results and strategic groundwork laid, Artemis Resources is poised for a pivotal phase of exploration and growth in Western Australia’s gold and copper sectors.
Questions in the middle?
- Will follow-up diamond drilling at Titan East confirm a new high-grade gold system?
- How extensive are the potential extensions to the Carlow gold-copper resource at depth and along strike?
- What will the initial drilling at Cassowary reveal about the IOCG potential of the large intrusion?
