Stavely Minerals Unveils New Gold Zones at Fairview South Ahead of Drilling

Exploration Momentum Builds at Fairview South

Stavely Minerals Limited has delivered a compelling update from its 100%-owned Stavely Copper-Gold Project in western Victoria, revealing new gold anomalies that could significantly expand the footprint of mineralisation at the Fairview South prospect. Recent soil auger sampling has delineated a second, parallel zone of gold anomalism, extending the known prospect area by approximately 600 metres to the south of the previously drilled high-grade intercept SFSRC001.

The original drill hole SFSRC001, completed earlier this year, returned impressive results including 40 metres grading 1.96 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from surface, with higher-grade intervals within this zone. This initial success has been bolstered by rock-chip sampling of gossanous float material, which yielded assays as high as 25.6 g/t gold, highlighting the prospect’s potential for significant gold mineralisation.

Structural Setting and Geological Complexity

According to Stavely’s Executive Chair and Managing Director, Chris Cairns, the Fairview South prospect occupies a structurally favourable position adjacent to a large magnetic feature interpreted as a buried intrusion. The presence of complex alteration minerals such as adularia and banded quartz veins suggests a multi-phase epithermal system, which is often associated with economically viable gold deposits.

This geological complexity, combined with the spatial extent of gold anomalism, provides a promising backdrop for exploration success. The company’s detailed sampling and assay protocols, including multi-element geochemistry and rigorous quality control measures, underpin confidence in the robustness of these findings.

Imminent Drilling to Test Extensions and New Targets

Building on these encouraging results, Stavely is mobilising a reverse circulation (RC) drill rig to the site imminently. The upcoming program will focus on testing the southern extensions of Fairview South, as well as the S41 breccia-hosted gold target, which represents a large hydrothermal system at an early stage of exploration.

The S41 target, characterized by breccia-hosted mineralisation and significant geophysical anomalies, offers a substantial opportunity for new gold discoveries. The planned RC drilling aims to infill and extend the known mineralisation, with a notional 200m by 200m drill collar spacing designed to better define the prospect’s potential.

Looking Ahead

While the second step-out drill hole at Fairview South was less compelling than the initial hole, the combined soil auger and rock-chip data strongly support the continuity of gold mineralisation over a broad area. The company’s methodical approach to exploration, including detailed geological logging and multi-element assays, positions Stavely well to advance its understanding of this emerging gold system.
