Molyhil Project Targets 13 Drillholes as Tivan Advances Critical Minerals Development

Setting the Stage for Growth

Tivan Limited (ASX, TVN) has officially commenced an initial program of works at its Molyhil Tungsten-Molybdenum Project in the Northern Territory, marking a significant step forward since acquiring the asset in September 2025. This program includes preparatory activities for a drilling campaign scheduled for March 2026, aimed at expanding the known mineralisation footprint.

The Molyhil Project, located roughly 220 kilometres northeast of Alice Springs, is a high-value critical minerals asset with a JORC-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate of 4.647 million tonnes grading 0.26% tungsten trioxide (WO3) and 0.09% molybdenum. These metals are increasingly vital to sectors such as defence, automotive, semiconductors, and clean energy, underscoring the project's strategic importance.

Focused Drilling and Resource Review

The upcoming drilling program will comprise 13 holes across four tungsten targets identified through detailed geophysical surveys conducted in 2023. These targets exhibit geophysical signatures similar to the existing Molyhil deposit, offering promising potential for resource expansion. The drilling aims to test these new zones and provide data to refine the project's geological model.

Complementing the drilling, Tivan has engaged SRK Consulting to conduct an independent review of the current Mineral Resource Estimate. This review will validate existing data and explore opportunities to enhance resource confidence, supporting both open pit and underground mining scenarios.

Advancing Development Planning

Beyond exploration, Tivan is progressing a preliminary commercial and technical assessment to evaluate development pathways for the project. This includes environmental approvals scoping with consultancy EcOz and the preparation of a metallurgical testwork plan led by newly appointed Technical Manager Joshua Hirsch. These efforts are designed to underpin a forthcoming Pre-Feasibility Study, which will clarify the project's economic and operational viability.

Importantly, Tivan is also advancing land access arrangements with the Central Land Council, ensuring compliance and community engagement. The company has secured approval to proceed with the drilling program under existing permits, expediting timelines by approximately six months.

Strategic Partnerships and Future Outlook

Tivan's recent Memorandum of Understanding with Sumitomo Corporation signals potential collaboration on project development, funding, and operations, reflecting the growing international interest in Australia's critical minerals sector. Executive Chairman Grant Wilson highlighted the company's commitment to rapidly advancing Molyhil alongside its adjacent Sandover Fluorite Project, with a strategic decision on project priorities expected in early 2026.

As Tivan moves forward, the integration of drilling results, resource updates, and environmental approvals will be critical to shaping the project's trajectory and unlocking value within the central Australian critical minerals precinct.
