Drilling Progress at Zopkhito

Krakatoa Resources Limited (ASX – KTA) has provided a comprehensive update on its ongoing drilling campaign at the Zopkhito Antimony-Gold Project in Georgia, a region straddling Eastern Europe and Western Asia. The company has completed 18 diamond drill holes from surface and 9 core sampling holes underground within Adit #80. Visual inspection of core samples reveals that antimony mineralisation was intersected in the majority of these holes, highlighting the potential richness of the deposit.

Surface drilling has now ceased due to the onset of late autumn snowfalls, with underground drilling continuing to maintain momentum. The underground core drilling, conducted using a modified portable coring drill, allows for precise sampling in confined adit environments, which is critical for meeting the stringent requirements of the JORC Code for mineral resource reporting.

However, these estimates are not yet JORC-compliant, and Krakatoa’s drilling program is designed to validate and potentially upgrade these figures to meet modern reporting standards.

Visual mineralisation observed includes significant stibnite (antimony sulphide) veins and breccia zones, often accompanied by arsenopyrite sulphide halos that may contain gold. While these visual indicators are promising, laboratory assays are essential to confirm grades and assess impurities. These assay results are anticipated between December 2025 and January 2026 and will be pivotal in defining the project's economic potential.
