Prodigy Gold NL reports outstanding October 2025 drilling results at its Hyperion Gold Deposit, reinforcing the deposit's high-grade potential and setting the stage for a resource update and mining approvals.

  • Significant gold intercepts from 19-hole RC drilling at Hyperion
  • Notable results include 24m at 5.5g/t and 18m at 4.2g/t gold
  • Results to inform updated Mineral Resource estimate in early 2026
  • Environmental baseline work underway to support mining approvals
  • Additional drilling at Tregony completed; results pending

Strong Drilling Results Highlight Hyperion's Potential

Prodigy Gold NL (ASX – PRX) has announced a series of impressive gold intercepts from its October 2025 Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Hyperion Gold Deposit, part of the company's Tanami North Project in Australia's Northern Territory. The 19-hole, 2,339-metre campaign targeted the Seuss, Hyperion, and Tethys lodes, delivering multiple high-grade intersections that underscore the deposit's continuity and growth potential.

Among the standout results are intercepts such as 24 metres at 5.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 75 metres depth and 18 metres at 4.2 g/t from 79 metres, both within the Seuss Lode. The Hyperion Lode also yielded strong grades, including 12 metres at 4.6 g/t from 131 metres. These findings confirm broad zones of higher-grade mineralisation near surface, which are amenable to conventional open pit mining methods.

Advancing Resource and Environmental Work

Prodigy Gold plans to incorporate these new drilling results into an updated Mineral Resource estimate scheduled for early 2026. This update aims to increase confidence in the existing resource, potentially upgrading inferred categories to indicated, and to expand the known mineralised footprint both along strike and at depth.

In parallel, the company has initiated environmental baseline studies around the proposed mining lease area (MLA34047) to support forthcoming mining approvals. This includes dust and weather monitoring, as well as flora and fauna assessments, which will inform the environmental licence application under the Northern Territory's Environmental Protection Act.

Broader Exploration and Strategic Focus

Beyond Hyperion, Prodigy Gold has completed drilling at its nearby Tregony Deposit, with assay results pending. The company’s Managing Director, Mark Edwards, highlighted the strategic importance of both deposits within the Tanami region, noting that ongoing exploration and development efforts are central to Prodigy Gold’s five-year plan focused on mine development and resource growth.

Further drilling is planned for 2026 to test deeper extensions and high-grade shoots within the Hyperion system. Additionally, confirmatory testing using Photon Assay methods will be conducted on select high-grade samples to validate the fire assay results, ensuring robustness in grade estimation.

Context Within the Tanami Gold Province

Hyperion sits in a highly prospective yet underexplored corridor between major deposits such as the 1.3 million ounce Groundrush/Ripcord and the 0.1 million ounce Crusade Gold Deposits, operated by joint venture partners Northern Star Resources and Tanami Gold NL. Prodigy Gold’s ownership of Hyperion and Tregony positions it well to capitalize on this prolific gold province.

With a comprehensive exploration program completed in 2025, including geophysical surveys, RC and diamond drilling, and environmental groundwork, Prodigy Gold is advancing steadily toward unlocking the full potential of its Tanami North assets.

Bottom Line?

Prodigy Gold’s robust drilling results at Hyperion set a promising foundation for resource growth and mining approvals, with the next phase of assays and environmental studies poised to shape its development trajectory.

Questions in the middle?

  • How will the upcoming Mineral Resource update impact Prodigy Gold’s valuation and project economics?
  • What are the timelines and potential hurdles for securing the environmental and mining approvals at Hyperion?
  • Will the pending Tregony drilling results reveal similar high-grade continuity to support broader project development?
