PhosCo's Gasaat Project Advances with Strong Drilling Results

PhosCo Ltd (ASX – PHO) has announced a series of encouraging drilling results from its wholly owned Gasaat Phosphate Project in Tunisia. The latest drilling at the KM prospect has delivered thick phosphate intersections up to 39 metres, reinforcing the prospect’s potential as a cornerstone of the project’s resource base. These results build on previous high-grade intercepts, including a standout 53 metres at 22.3% P2O5, underscoring the consistency and quality of the mineralisation.

Strategic Timing with US Critical Minerals Listing

The announcement comes at a pivotal moment as phosphate was officially added to the United States’ Critical Minerals List in November 2025. This designation reflects phosphate’s essential role in global food security and the increasing importance of securing stable, diversified supply chains for critical agricultural inputs. PhosCo’s timing could position the Gasaat Project favourably in the eyes of investors and strategic partners seeking exposure to critical mineral commodities.

Resource Development and Project Economics

PhosCo plans to release maiden resource estimates for both the KM and nearby SAB prospects in the coming months. The KM prospect’s lower strip ratio and proximity to the proposed processing plant site are expected to enhance project economics. The company also intends to update its 2022 Scoping Study to incorporate the latest drilling data, which could significantly improve the project’s scale and grade profile. Early-stage metallurgical work is underway to optimize processing flowsheets, including evaluating single-stage flotation and alternative beneficiation methods.
