Capital Raising to Fuel Exploration Ambitions

White Energy Company Limited (ASX, WEC) has announced a pro rata non-renounceable entitlement offer to raise approximately AUD 3.5 million. The offer price of $0.027 per share represents a discount to recent trading prices, reflecting a strategic move to secure funding for advancing its copper exploration projects across Australia. The capital raising is partially underwritten and led by Morgans Corporate Limited, with major shareholders including Gaffwick Pty Ltd and director Brian Flannery committing to take up their full entitlements.

Drilling Underway at Specimen Hill

At the forefront of White Energy’s exploration efforts is the Specimen Hill project in Queensland, situated within the mineral-rich New England Orogen. Drilling commenced in October 2025, focusing on high-priority targets such as Mt Rainbow and Mt Walturn. These targets are defined by coincident geophysical anomalies and historical copper intersections, with rock chip samples previously returning up to 3.1% copper and 10.95 grams per tonne gold. The current drilling campaign aims to verify these historical results and test new anomalies, with assay results expected in the first quarter of 2026.

Through a research partnership with the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) in Canada, the company applies deep-crustal imaging and artificial intelligence to analyze geochemical and geophysical data. Beyond Specimen Hill, White Energy’s portfolio includes the expansive Tindal project in the Northern Territory, covering over 11,600 square kilometers in the McArthur Basin, a region known for world-class mineral deposits. The company is also advancing early-stage projects such as Robin Rise and Lora Creek in South Australia, which show potential for iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) style mineralization, and the Maranoa project in Queensland, noted for its multi-element anomalies. Additionally, White Energy holds exclusive rights to a binderless coal briquetting technology, adding a unique dimension to its asset base.
