Star Range Project Yields Silver Up to 3,043 g/t and Antimony to 0.7%

Exploration Breakthrough at Star Range

Diablo Resources Limited (ASX – DBO) has announced compelling results from its initial reconnaissance rock sampling program at the Star Range Critical Minerals Project in Utah, USA. The project, wholly owned by Diablo, has returned exceptional silver grades reaching 3,043 grams per tonne (g/t) alongside antimony concentrations up to 0.7%. These findings not only confirm historical bonanza-grade mineralisation but also reveal promising copper and gold values, underscoring the polymetallic potential of the area.

Located on 186 unpatented lode claims covering approximately 3,582 acres of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land in Beaver County, the Star Range project benefits from proximity to historic mines such as the Horn Silver mine, which produced significant quantities of silver, gold, and copper. The region’s supportive mining jurisdiction and existing infrastructure, including rail, sealed roads, and power, further enhance the project's strategic appeal.

Multiple Prospects Deliver High-Grade Results

Sampling across several prospect areas has yielded standout results. At the North Star prospect, assays include 3,043 g/t silver with 1.37 g/t gold and 1,592 g/t silver with 0.7% antimony. South Star delivered 1,609 g/t silver coupled with 4.82 g/t gold, while Silver Gulch returned 2,350 g/t silver and 0.3% antimony. Notably, two new copper prospects have been identified nearby, with copper grades up to 4.0%, highlighting the project's broader critical mineral endowment.

These results validate and build upon historical data, which recorded bonanza silver grades up to 8,760 g/t and antimony exceeding 1% at surface. Importantly, antimony was often unreported in earlier sampling, suggesting significant upside potential as Diablo advances exploration.

Geological Context and Exploration Strategy

The Star Range project lies within a structurally controlled Basin and Range geological setting, characterized by carbonate and clastic sedimentary sequences intruded by granitic bodies. Mineralisation occurs predominantly as vein-breccia systems and manto-replacement zones along reactive sedimentary contacts. This geological environment is analogous to prolific mining districts in Nevada, where high-grade gold and silver deposits are exploited.

Diablo’s exploration approach integrates detailed surface sampling with airborne geophysical surveys and satellite imagery to refine geological models and identify priority drilling targets. The company has completed further sampling and awaits results from an additional 65 rock samples currently at the laboratory. The maiden drilling campaign is anticipated to commence once geophysical data interpretation is complete, marking a critical next step in delineating the project's resource potential.

Strategic Importance Amid US Critical Minerals Push

With silver, antimony, and copper now recognized as critical minerals by the US government, Diablo’s Star Range project is well-positioned to contribute to domestic supply chains. CEO Lyle Thorne emphasized the project's alignment with the US initiative to secure critical mineral resources, highlighting the significance of the high-grade results and the identification of multiple mineralised trends.

As exploration progresses, Diablo is also actively reviewing additional critical mineral opportunities within the United States, leveraging its in-country expertise to expand its portfolio in this strategically important sector.
