Fortifai Secures Exclusive License to Transform Real-Time Data Processing

A Leap Forward in Data Processing

Fortifai Limited (ASX, FTI) has announced a strategic acquisition that could redefine how data is processed in real time. By securing an exclusive license to the Nol8 technology, developed over five years at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Fortifai is poised to disrupt traditional data pipelines that rely heavily on post-storage analysis.

Nol8’s core innovation lies in its ability to process and classify data instantly as it flows through networks, rather than after it is stored. This “Data-in-Motion” approach eliminates latency bottlenecks, delivering performance improvements of up to 400 times in latency reduction and 160 times in throughput compared to conventional systems. A single Nol8 appliance can match the power of 5,000 CPUs, handling data streams at 100 Gbps with millisecond-grade deterministic performance.

Broad Applications and Economic Impact

The technology’s implications extend far beyond raw speed. By processing data in real time, Nol8 allows organisations to store only relevant information, significantly cutting cloud storage, compute, and energy costs. This is particularly critical as data volumes are expected to increase fiftyfold over the next decade, driven by AI, autonomous systems, and edge computing.

Fortifai highlights gaming as an immediate application, where Nol8 can power real-time anti-cheat systems, adaptive non-player characters, and dynamic game worlds without lag. Beyond gaming, the technology shows promise in high-frequency trading, cybersecurity, AI guardrails, and telecoms, where ultra-low latency and scalable processing are essential.

Strategic Acquisition and Leadership

The acquisition of FastAI Pty Ltd, which holds the license to Nol8 via its Israeli subsidiary Celerriem Ltd, involves issuing 155 million Fortifai shares and 150 million performance rights to FastAI shareholders and the Technion Research & Development Foundation. The deal is subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals, with completion expected by early 2026.

Joining Fortifai’s board as a new director is Yosef Keret, former CEO of Weebit Nano and an experienced technology executive. Keret will oversee the integration and commercialisation of Nol8, leveraging his extensive background in semiconductors and technology startups.

Looking Ahead

Fortifai plans to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) by the second half of 2026, aiming to demonstrate Nol8’s capabilities at scale. The company’s existing game development expertise provides a strong foundation for integrating this cutting-edge technology, potentially accelerating Fortifai’s evolution into a significant IP-rich technology platform.

While the acquisition marks a bold step forward, the commercialisation of Nol8 will require navigating technical milestones and market adoption challenges.
