Battery Age Minerals Ltd (ASX – BM8) has successfully completed its 2025 drilling programs at two of its flagship projects – the El Aguila Gold-Silver Project in Argentina and the Bleiberg Zinc-Germanium Project in Austria. At El Aguila, located in Argentina’s Santa Cruz Province, a premier gold and silver producing region, the company executed its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program. The campaign delivered 23 holes totaling over 2,500 metres across multiple targets, including Aguila Main, Aguila South, and San Cristobal. Geological logging and surface sampling have confirmed the presence of a large-scale, low-sulphidation epithermal gold-silver system with district-scale potential. Notably, much of the mineralised system remains untested below approximately 100 metres depth, highlighting substantial upside for future drilling.
Historic European Zinc-Germanium District Revisited
In Austria, the Bleiberg project drilling comprised six diamond drill holes totaling 1,685 metres, targeting priority zones within one of Europe’s most historically significant zinc-germanium mining districts. The Bleiberg mine historically produced around 5.5 million ounces of germanium, underscoring the district’s global importance. The recent drilling intersected sulphide mineralisation consistent with the company’s geological model, validating target selection and providing fresh core samples for detailed analysis.
Both projects have now dispatched their samples to ALS laboratories, Argentina for El Aguila and Ireland for Bleiberg, with assay results anticipated progressively through the first quarter of 2026. These results will be pivotal in refining geological models, prioritising targets, and planning follow-up drilling programs, including a planned diamond drilling campaign at El Aguila in the first half of 2026.
