Sustainability Push: Range International’s Recycled Pallet Contracts Signal Market Shift

Strategic Supply Agreements Announced

Range International Limited, through its subsidiary Re>Pal Indonesia, has announced a trio of new supply contracts with some of Indonesia’s leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies. The agreements, collectively valued at approximately AUD 533,000, involve the supply of recycled plastic pallets manufactured using Range’s proprietary ThermoFusion™ technology.

The contracts include a strategic partnership with Marubeni and Yakult, where Re>Pal will recycle Yakult’s packaging waste into heavy-duty HDX 1210 CBL pallets for use across Yakult’s Indonesian operations. This initiative not only advances Yakult’s sustainability agenda but also enhances operational efficiency by replacing traditional timber pallets.

Expanding Footprint in Indonesian FMCG Sector

In addition to Yakult, Re>Pal has secured a contract with PT FKS Food Sejahtera, a major player in Indonesia’s food and feed market, for HDX1210RL pallets valued at approximately AUD 125,000. Furthermore, Re>Pal’s first contract with PT Tirta Fresindo Jaya (Mayora Group), Indonesia’s second largest bottled water producer, is valued at around AUD 170,000. Mayora highlighted Re>Pal’s unique ability to recycle their plastic packaging into pallets and separators, replacing timber and plywood components.

Sustainability and Circular Economy in Focus

These contracts underscore Re>Pal’s growing reputation for delivering high-quality, durable pallets made entirely from recycled plastics. The company’s approach aligns with the increasing emphasis on extended producer responsibility (EPR) and circular economy principles within the FMCG sector. By converting plastic waste into functional packaging solutions, Re>Pal helps clients reduce environmental impact while improving supply chain efficiency.

Marcus Goldstein of Re>Pal commented that the contracts validate their marketing efforts and the unique value proposition of their recycled pallet solutions. The absence of material conditions before contract completion suggests a smooth path to revenue recognition and operational scaling.

Range International’s East Java production facility is well positioned to meet the growing demand for sustainable pallets across Indonesia and the broader Asia Pacific region. These new contracts could serve as a springboard for further expansion into the FMCG market, where sustainability commitments are increasingly influencing procurement decisions.
