Wildcat Resources has significantly expanded its Bolt Cutter Central lithium discovery with strong high-grade intercepts and progressed the Definitive Feasibility Study at its Tabba Tabba Project, alongside securing a strategic tenement and executing a Native Title Agreement.

  • Bolt Cutter Central lithium mineralisation footprint extended over 2.0km and remains open
  • High-grade lithium intercepts reinforce discovery scale and quality
  • Definitive Feasibility Study at Tabba Tabba advances with metallurgical testwork nearing completion
  • Strategic tenement acquisition improves mine layout and cost efficiencies
  • Native Title Agreement executed with Nyamal native title holders

Expanding the Bolt Cutter Central Lithium Discovery

Wildcat Resources Limited (ASX – WC8) has reported a major step forward in its Pilbara lithium exploration with a significant expansion of the Bolt Cutter Central lithium discovery. The company’s recent reverse circulation drilling has extended the mineralised footprint of spodumene-bearing pegmatites to over 2.0 kilometres in strike length, with the system remaining open in multiple directions. This confirms the presence of a large, stacked lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatite system that is shaping up as a key asset in Wildcat’s portfolio.

Notably, the drilling results include consistent high-grade lithium intercepts such as 12 metres at 1.65% lithium oxide from 90 metres and 9 metres at 1.84% lithium oxide from 128 metres. These results reinforce the scale and quality of the discovery, supporting plans for infill and diamond drilling in early 2026 to refine resource modelling and metallurgical sampling.

Progress on Tabba Tabba Definitive Feasibility Study

Meanwhile, the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) at Wildcat’s flagship Tabba Tabba Project continues to advance. Metallurgical testwork has yielded encouraging outcomes, particularly in processing additional pegmatite material previously classified as waste, potentially unlocking new ore and by-product credits such as tantalum, niobium, and tin. These findings are expected to improve the project’s economics by reducing waste stripping requirements and enhancing concentrate quality.

The DFS also incorporates a recent strategic acquisition of a key tenement adjoining the Tabba Tabba mining leases. This acquisition is expected to materially improve mine layout flexibility and deliver operating and capital cost efficiencies, all without impacting Wildcat’s cash reserves.

Key Milestone – Native Title Agreement

A significant milestone was reached with the execution of a Native Title Agreement with the Nyamal native title holders, the Traditional Owners of the land encompassing the Tabba Tabba Project. This agreement formalises collaboration frameworks, cultural heritage protections, and community engagement initiatives, smoothing the path toward project development and future operations. It reflects Wildcat’s commitment to responsible and inclusive resource development.

Strong Financial Position and Forward Outlook

Wildcat Resources ended the December 2025 quarter with a robust cash position of $48.5 million, providing ample runway to fund ongoing exploration, feasibility studies, and permitting activities. The company plans to continue diamond and RC drilling at Bolt Cutter Central to delineate the pegmatite swarms further and acquire core samples for metallurgical evaluation. Concurrently, it will progress the DFS at Tabba Tabba, finalize environmental and heritage studies, and advance statutory approvals.

With its lithium assets strategically located near some of the world’s largest hard-rock lithium mines and supported by promising exploration and development progress, Wildcat is positioning itself as a significant player in the Pilbara lithium sector.

Bottom Line?

Wildcat’s expanding lithium discoveries and advancing feasibility studies set the stage for a pivotal year ahead in the Pilbara.

Questions in the middle?

  • How will upcoming diamond drilling at Bolt Cutter Central refine the resource and impact project economics?
  • What are the potential timelines and hurdles remaining for Tabba Tabba’s DFS completion and mine development?
  • How might the Native Title Agreement influence ongoing community relations and operational planning?
