Nanadie Drilling Expansion Poses Risk if Assays Disappoint Investors
Solstice Minerals has ramped up its drilling program at the Nanadie Copper-Gold Project, aiming to significantly grow its existing resource, while advancing gold exploration at Yarri with strong assay anticipation.
- Phase 1 RC drilling expanded to 6,300m at Nanadie Copper-Gold Project
- Nanadie hosts 40.4Mt Inferred Resource with 162,000t copper and 130,000oz gold
- Strong geological signs prompt extended drilling beyond current resource limits
- Significant gold intercepts at Bluetooth and Edjudina Range prospects in Yarri
- Company ends 2025 with $13.4M cash, no debt, supporting exploration momentum
Nanadie Drilling Accelerates
Solstice Minerals has kicked off a substantial first phase of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling at its wholly owned Nanadie Copper-Gold Project in Western Australia’s Murchison Goldfields. The program, initially planned for fewer metres, has been expanded to 6,300m following encouraging geological observations from the first 13 holes. This drilling campaign targets lateral and down-dip extensions well beyond the current 40.4 million tonne Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), which contains 162,000 tonnes of copper and 130,000 ounces of gold.
Nanadie’s mineralisation is characterised by a shallow, disseminated sulphide system hosted within a mafic intrusive package. Historical drilling rarely penetrated beyond this host rock, leaving significant potential for resource growth. The current drilling is designed to increase density within priority zones and test the margins of the mineralised system, which remains open in multiple directions and at depth.
Strong Historical Grades and Geological Confidence
Previous drill results at Nanadie have demonstrated both scale and commercial-grade copper-gold mineralisation, with intercepts such as 107.8m at 0.91% copper and 0.24g/t gold, and 122.3m at 0.61% copper and 0.15g/t gold. These grades underscore the deposit’s potential to deliver significant value as exploration advances. Solstice’s geological logging confirms a consistent mineralised system, with zones of increased chalcopyrite veining correlating with higher gold values.
Advancing Gold Exploration at Yarri
Alongside Nanadie, Solstice is progressing gold exploration within its Yarri Project in the Eastern Goldfields. The Bluetooth Gold Prospect has yielded thick, near-surface oxide gold intercepts, including 18m at 3.06g/t gold and 29m at 1.58g/t gold, indicating a promising open-pit target. Further drilling is planned to test down-plunge extensions and expand the resource.
At the Edjudina Range Gold Prospect, reconnaissance aircore drilling has identified broad zones of gold anomalism, with recent RC drilling confirming high-grade gold mineralisation in fresh rock, including intercepts of 2m at 11.10g/t gold. These discoveries highlight the potential for new mineralised systems within Solstice’s extensive tenure.
Financial Position and Strategic Outlook
Solstice closed 2025 with a strong balance sheet, holding $13.4 million in cash and no debt, providing the company with flexibility to continue its aggressive exploration programs and evaluate new business development opportunities. CEO Nick Castleden emphasised the company’s focus on disciplined, drill-based exploration to add commercial value, particularly in light of rising copper prices and constrained supply globally.
With investable copper assets in Tier-1 jurisdictions becoming scarce, Solstice’s strategy to expand its Nanadie resource and advance gold prospects at Yarri positions it well to capitalise on favourable market dynamics. The company’s upcoming assay results from the expanded Nanadie drilling program will be closely watched by investors and analysts alike.
Bottom Line?
Solstice’s expanded drilling at Nanadie and promising gold discoveries at Yarri set the stage for potential resource upgrades and increased market interest in 2026.
Questions in the middle?
- Will the upcoming assay results confirm significant resource extensions at Nanadie?
- How quickly can Solstice convert Yarri’s gold prospects into a defined resource?
- What new business development opportunities might Solstice pursue with its strong cash position?
