Surface Sampling Reveals Strong Mineralisation
Bindi Metals Limited (ASX, BIM) has announced highly encouraging results from its recent exploration activities at the Ravni Gold Project in southwestern Serbia. Rock chip assays from surface mapping have returned exceptional grades, including gold concentrations as high as 48.7 grams per tonne (g/t) and silver up to 181 g/t. These results come from multiple prospects within the project area, notably the Drenjak and Rujak prospects, which are part of a broader epithermal vein system.
The Drenjak prospect has revealed gold mineralisation over a strike length exceeding one kilometre, extending well beyond historic mining workings. The mineralisation is hosted within diorite intrusives and listwanites, with epithermal veins outcropping over widths of 5 to 10 metres. Similarly, the Rujak prospect, located about two kilometres north of Drenjak, has yielded multiple high-grade gold and silver assays from surface rock chips, reinforcing the project's potential.
Expanding the Dataset, Soil Sampling and Geophysics
Beyond rock chip sampling, Bindi Metals has completed a regional soil sampling program, collecting 746 samples designed to extend known anomalous zones and test prospective volcanic units. Results from this program are expected within the next eight weeks, promising to add valuable geochemical data to the exploration model.
Complementing the geochemical work, a dipole induced polarization (IP) geophysical survey is scheduled to commence shortly. This 10-line kilometre program will focus on the Drenjak and Rujak prospects, aiming to detect chargeability and resistivity anomalies that may indicate sulphide mineralisation and epithermal structures at depth. The integration of these datasets is expected to refine and prioritise drill targets with greater confidence.
Permitting and Local Support Pave Way for Drilling
Permitting for the maiden drill program is advancing positively, with land access agreements progressing well and strong local community support reported. The company plans to finalise drill pad locations following the integration of geochemical and geophysical data, targeting the most prospective zones identified through recent exploration.
