Temas Resources Corp has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Maurice (Nic) Matich as a Non-Executive Director, effective immediately. Matich, a seasoned resources executive with a strong background in capital markets and project development, will be based in Australia and tasked with leading investor relations, business development, and stakeholder engagement. This move is designed to bolster Temas’ global growth strategy and accelerate commercialisation efforts.

Simultaneously, David Robinson, who previously held a dual role as CFO and board director, will step down from the board to focus exclusively on his executive responsibilities as CFO. This adjustment aims to sharpen the company’s governance structure and ensure robust financial leadership as Temas scales its operations.

Strategic Leadership with Industry Expertise

Nic Matich brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as Managing Director and CEO of ASX-listed resources companies. His expertise spans capital raising, advancing mineral projects from exploration to development, and fostering strategic partnerships. Currently serving as a Non-Executive Director at Adavale Resources and Vice-President of Corporate Development at Red Mountain Mining, Matich’s appointment signals Temas’ intent to deepen its engagement with Australian investors and industry stakeholders.

CEO Tim Fernback emphasised the importance of having a senior executive on the ground in Australia to actively engage with investors and partners. He highlighted Matich’s relevant experience as critical to commercialising Temas’ proprietary Regenerative Chloride Leach (RCL) technology and advancing its integrated critical minerals portfolio.

Innovative Technology and Resource Assets

Temas is developing a dual business model combining proprietary processing innovation with strategic mineral ownership. Its patented RCL technology platform offers significant operational cost reductions, validated at up to 65% lower than traditional methods, while reducing energy consumption and environmental impact. This technology is designed to enhance recovery of critical metals such as titanium, vanadium, nickel, and rare earth elements from complex ores.

The company owns 100% of two advanced titanium-vanadium-iron projects in Québec, Canada, La Blache and Lac Brûlé, which are strategically positioned to feed into the RCL processing platform. Recent pilot testing has yielded a high-purity titanium dioxide product, underscoring the technology’s potential to transform mineral extraction economics globally.
